Did a redo on playing loomian legacy and it's actually April Fools today so have this fic I just wrote 5 minutes ago. Btw reader and Vanta might be OC
"I like you!" You exclaimed to him. Although you shouted those three words towards him, he was still trying to process his thoughts altogether. Surely you must be joking.
"Could you repeat that again?" He mumbled. And so you did. But instead of pouring out what you feel through three words, you decide to just pour all of it out. "I like you Dr. Vanta. I've realized how much of a genius you are. When we were young, I've always have feelings for you and I'll always do.." When you finished your sentence, you look at him with admiration that Vanta himself can't even check the lying possibility percent rate.
But the way you look at him and how you poured your heart to him, how can he say no to your proposal? In fact, this is what he wanted. For you to confess first towards him. Sure he can do it himself but he's ego is higher than the Mount Everest that he can't think of confessing first. That's why he waited, despite that he's known to not have any patience. Or maybe because he's afraid of rejection but let's just ignore that for now and focus on the present.
After he finally recovered his thoughts, he lets out a smirk and decided to tease you a little, "(name).. If you really like me, then why aren't you kissing me right now?"
If you weren't embarrassed by your confession towards Vanta then you'd probably feel mortified when he's asking you to kiss him to prove your point. But, you'd gone this far so might as well take it like a champ. Swallowing your pride, you grabbed onto his shoulders, slowly lean in while closing your eyes as Vanta does the same while he grabs your waist to pull you towards him.
'This is it!' Vanta thought to himself. 'This is the moment I've been waiting for sinc-' His thoughts were stopped when he feels a finger on his lips. He opens his eyes, to see you smirking with your finger leaving his lips and waving it in a 'no' motion.
'What..?'
"I'm sorry Dr. Vanta but I was clearly messing with you. You see, I'm actually interested with one of your scientists!" As you said that, you immediately push yourself away from his hold, suddenly a scientist named Brad who works for Vanta appears behind your back, with his arm on your waist. "I met Brad when I was required to attend a meeting with a Battle Star and somehow Brad was on his day off that time...." While you talk about how you met Brad and how amazing of a person he is, Vanta feels like he's in a nightmare. He looks distraught to see you with another man, who has a smile on his face while you kept talking.
".... and that's why I felt our relationship is compatible! Sorry Vanta but I'm afraid I just don't see us being together. See ya later!" After your monologue, a car drives by to take you and Brad away. As the car drives away, Vanta tries to get the car to stop, only for it to drive away quickly.
"(name) no!-" Vanta ushers out, only for him to suddenly wake up in his desk. 'Was that.. just a dream?' He thought but it more felt like a nightmare to him.
As he look at his desk, it's messy with documents scattered around but one note stands out which reads "Meeting with Ms. (Name) on 9." He looks at the time and it's already 8. But he has things to do before his meeting.
A scientist named Brad that day suddenly got fired with no reason and when you finally arrived at the POLUT Corp, the receptionist tells you that Dr. Vanta is unavailable but he sent someone else in his stead for the meeting. Of course, you were confused by why Vanta doesn't want to see you after he arranged this meeting. But you have a busy schedule so you might as well get on with the meeting.
As for Vanta.. let's just say he's handpicking an item (wether it'd be chocolate or some flowers) for your next meeting with him. Maybe that's when he's actually got the balls to confess but we'll never know.
