Chapter 31

Ryu's confusing feelings.

       The night went by as fast as a lightning and around nine o’clock a knock came in my door, Ryu. He stared at me up and down.

“Apparently we’re going swimming.”

“Ah okay then.”

He barged into my room and saw pictures of animes and skeletons surrounding the place he gave out a shock impression, not a bad one, a smiley shock one. He opened my wardrobe and saw nothing but jeans and dark coloured tops.

“Let’s go get you something new, as a present, an early birthday present.”

He grabbed my hand and slipped his in the gaps of my hand, as soon as we went outside my house Rei was staring at both of us holding on each others house smiling. As for Ryu he just tightened his grip and we both ran down the stairs and we both entered the shopping centre, it’s quite helpful that these shopping centres opens up around seven o’clock in the morning and closes around ten in the evening. We both rushed into Zara’s clothing section, he passed me a waxed brown jacket that cost 17, 990 YEN, a white coloured dress with flared skirt that cost 5, 990 YEN, a roman wedge heel sandal that cost 10,990 YEN, a two-tone bowling bag that cost 11,990 YEN, and finally a plastic frame sunglasses that was around 3,900YEN.

“Try it on”

I popped on the items, and placed the sunglasses on my head instead, I could barely walk on the heels that he gave me, I drawn the curtains back and headed out into the main shop, his face gave out a warming smile and I had no reason why not to smile back. He took my hand and we both headed into the cash register.

“I’ll like to take what she’s wearing.” Ryu ordered.

“How would you pay sir?”

“Cash.”

“It’ll be 50, 860.00”

I watched him withdraw the amount of money away from his wallet and shook off my daze he took the receipt and we both made our way out the shop.

“Let’s shop for your bikini.”

My face flushed red the word bikini replayed in my head in slow motion, for a guy to be shopping with a girl for a bikini- that’s kind of- erm- shocking? no. weird? no. awkward!

“You okay?” He questioned.

“Yeah-Yeah.”

We both strolled inside the shop when Ryu suddenly freed my hand.

“I’ll meet you outside. Surprise me.” He winked.

My face flush pink once again and I was stranded in the shop. I looked around trying to find a nice one that doesn’t reveal too much. A certain one caught my eye, an orange bikini with crimped layers on top of each other. I took the hanger and another one caught my eye, it had a sky blue very-very short short and a white bikini top and a white shirt on top of it. I hanged them both on my index finger and paid 4,990 in total. The shopping bag hanged over my shoulders and I took a glimpse of Ryu licking a rocket lolly he winked at me and began to approach me.

“Shall we go? We have 15 minutes left to meet them in the train station, Rei’s girlfriend also volunteered to cook lunch for us.”

“Yeah let’s go.” I smiled. The word girlfriend repeated in my head like a broken tape, by now I realized I should really let him go. I wouldn’t want to be popular with a tag ‘boyfriend stealer’ since, she’s pretty, intelligent-ish, popular, and quite wealthy, her fashion sense is always updated so I guess I have a reason why I gave up, I’m obviously can’t top her.
