The chilling wind seeped through the windows as a blonde-haired girl tossed and turned in her bedsheets, groaning uncomfortably at being exposed to such coldness. She opened her eyes tiredly, looking around and shutting off the alarm clock that rang throughout her room.

She lifted herself out of bed, yawning and stretching her arms as she lazily made her way to the bathroom, picking up her toothbrush and running warm water over it. She then turned off her water, picked up her toothpaste, and put a small glob of it on the bristles as she started to brush her teeth.

After a couple of minutes of brushing, she grabbed a cup and filled it with water, putting it in her mouth to rinse it as she swished it from side to side until she spat it out. She then splashed her face with cold water, feeling more awake and refreshed as she dried her face with a towel.

Picking up a light blue hairbrush, she started to brush the knots out of her blonde hair until it was smooth. Just then, she felt a buzzing come from her pocket and fished out her phone before answering.

"Hello...?"

"Lumine, are you almost ready?" "The new cafe is about to open!" A male voice echoed as Lumine stopped in her tracks.

"Shit sorry, Aether, I kind of forgot. I'll be there in a bit." Lumine quickly put her hairbrush back and raced upstairs to her room, grabbing anything from her closet.

She settled for a white long-sleeve shirt with a heart design at the ends of the sleeves; over the shirt is a black short-sleeved jacket to help her keep warm; tucked into the shirt is a cute plaided black and white skirt. Lumine grabbed her white leg warmers as she slipped them on, grabbing her light blue scarf and earmuffs with a flower sewn on the side by her brother.

She quickly checked herself in the mirror and smiled, feeling confident with her outfit. Lumine then grabbed her phone, put on her white boots, and headed out the door, excited to meet up with Aether.

Aether, a boy with long blonde hair tied into a braid, the twin of Lumine, wearing a black and white college jacket with blue jeans and white sneakers, sighed as he waited for his sister. He took out his phone and started scrolling through his social media feed, wondering what was taking her so long.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. He looked up and saw Lumine walking towards him, looking stunning in her winter outfit. Aether couldn't help but smile, feeling proud of his sister's fashion sense.

But still, Aether was kind of mad that Lumine had almost forgotten that they were going to the cafe today.

"Sorry, Aether! I forgot that we were going to the cafe today!" Lumine put her hands together as she apologized profusely.

Aether couldn't stay mad at Lumine for long, especially when she looked so apologetic. He reassured her that it was okay, and they opened the doors to the cafe, the smell of freshly brewed coffee instantly hitting their noses.
