One Wish || CynoNari

CHAPTER 4

Cyno POV, Mentions of $uicide and SA in this chapter.

"Hey Cyno, Meet my girlfriend Candace and my friends, Nahida, Faruzan, Kaveh, Scaramouche and Layla!" Girlfriend? Friends? What the fuck is happening and since when? "Um... Nari?" I could only blankly stare at him in confusion. "They're joining us for my birthday so could you be a dear and get more chairs? Thanks." I did not like how we was acting right now but whatever. I walked into the backyard and grabbed a few chairs. "You're Cyno, right?" Great, one of his new 'friends' are talking to me.

I gave a nod, which made her smile. "I'm Nahida, it's nice to meet you!" I blinked a few times; was I like in some sort of weird dream? I need to talk to Nari about this, but he's over there with this new girlfriend of his. "Uh hi..." I gave a small wave before quickly walking away in embarrassment. I ran into my room and locked the door. "What the fuck is going on?" I slide down the wall, asking myself. He suddenly shows up with a girlfriend and some friends; I thought I was the only one he had. God dammit, Nari. A girlfriend? He doesn't even know about the voice box. Maybe I should've said it to him in person, but I would've gotten all embarrassed.

 Maybe I should go to a bar and get a few drinks, I think I really need that right now. Just run out the front door and don't make eye contact with anyone and everything will be fine. I can do it. I stood up, unlocked the door and left my room but of course Nari had to be right in front of me. "Cyno, why were you in your room? Why don't you talk to my friends?" He had a smile on his face, but it was different to the usual one. "Nari..." I whispered; this really feels like a nightmare. "Hmm?" His ears shot up because of his curiosity. This was so difficult to process right now. I touched Nari's arm to make sure I am not dreaming. "Is everything okay, Cyno?" At least he still cared about me...

"N-...yes," I whispered before running out the front door. I know this is reality now, but I wish it was all just a bad dream. I ran through the forest with thoughts racing through my head. "Woah there, slow down." This unfamiliar voice had given me a scare. I stopped running and looked to the side. "Hey, I'm Al Haitham." No, no, no, no and no. Don't tell me he's another person connected to Nari. "Please get away from me." I began to walk in the motion of a small circle. "Are you... okay?" He had worry in his voice, at least, I think. I can't trust him, he isn't Tighnari.

I couldn't bring myself to answer, I can't even first process what's happening with Tighnari right now. I continued to walk in a circle with my hands gripped tightly on my hair. "By the way you're acting, something is definitely wrong." He slowly walked closer towards me which freaked me out even more. "You're only scaring him even more, he has autism!" Although, this was a voice that felt familiar. That red hair and those ocean blue eyes. "N-Nilou?" I haven't seen her face in years; however, she doesn't look much different.  

"The one and only." She gave me a bright smile. No, she betrayed me; I won't fall for the act. "Oh, my apologies for scaring you," Al Haitham spoke. I shook my head, but I had no reason to shake it. "Are you okay, Cyno?" She asked, why would she care? I glared at her while my heart was racing, and my body was trembling. "I'm sorry Cyno, I really am." It wasn't even long ago that she was spreading lies about me, especially to Tighnari. 

"No," That's all I could make out. "No?" Her voice started to become irritating, but I must remain calm. I examined her expressions, it felt like she hadn't changed at all. "L-Leave at once, please." I almost choked on my words. Al Haitham looked at the both of us, completely confused on what was happening but he did as I said.  "But Cyno..." I was having enough of Nilou's words. "Go, please." I became happier when Nilou dropped me for Dehya, I don't need her messing it all up again.

"Fine, just don't be sorry when you're in need of a friend." What did she mean by that? Am I going to lose Tighnari? "What?" I asked, needing to know what she meant. "That Tighnari animal or person whatever, he's going to leave you." How would she know? But maybe it is true, he did randomly find a girlfriend and a set of friends. "He came across the wish flower, I had followed him after I first met him. I was hoping that maybe I could meet you again." What Nilou just said had shocked me and sent me speechless.
