Alrighty then! I'm back. Sorry, I've been dealing with try outs for sports while keeping up grades. So it wont be as long as I want it to be. Anyways, to the story!

We sat in an awkward silence for a while. We were just waiting for Connor to wake up. I still can't believe Carter just punched him like that.

I was staring at a wall as I heard a groan from the other side of the living room. I looked up to see Connor holding his head trying to get up. I rushed over to him. I helped him sit up as I handed him an ice pack for his head.

"Here, put this on your head." I spoke softly to him.

"Kaylie? What happened? And, why am I at your house?" He looked so confused. I sighed as I replied to him,

"How far back do you remember?"

"Uh, all I remember is you walking in on me and Kesha then leaving. I went to come to your house and saw my car was keyed. That's about all I remember." Oh gosh, this is going to be a lot of explaining. It will have to come out sooner or later though.

"Just sit back Connor. I have a lot of explaining to do. We both do." I say as I look over at Carter. At first, Connor looks confused when he noticed Carter in the room.

"What? Why is Carter here?" He questions. Me and Carter sigh at the same time, as we look at each other to who should go first. I decide that it might be better for me to.

"Okay, here's what happened. After I found you and Kesha, I kind of maybe keyed your car.. But then I came home ordered some pizza, Carter was the delivery boy. I invited him in, one thing led to another and you walked in on us making out on my couch. Then, you pulled Carter off of me and you two started fighting. I tried to get in between you two so you would stop, but you ended up hitting me. Then you two started arguing, he figured out about the times you hit me and he hit you and you got knocked out." I explained kind of quickly. Connor looked shocked to say the least. Then within a second, the shock turned to rage. He looked at Carter.

"You were making out with my girlfriend!?" He all but screamed at Carter. Carter chose this as a good time to speak up,

"Ah, but as I recall young Connor. Kaylie is now your ex girlfriend." This seemed to slow down and make Connor think for a second. Then, he looked at me, eyes full of hurt and regret. He got up and started walking towards me.

"Really Kaylie? You catch me cheating one time? And you just end it? After everything we have been through? All I have done for you. I love you Kaylie. I really do." Connor was babbling on trying to get me to forgive him.

"I don't know. You screwed up. Big time. How do I know you haven't done it before this? Or how do I know you wont do this again? I don't. I just need some time to think about it. I love you too, you know I do. You hurt me. Worse than I have ever been hurt before." I replied sadly, looking down at the floor. I hear footsteps and I look up to see Connor leaving. I wanted to call out and ask him why he is leaving, where he is going but I can't form the words to speak. So, I just sit there and watch him leave. I'm knocked out of my trance by somebody clearing their throat. I look over at Carter. He has one of his eyebrows raised at me. I give him the 'what' look.

"You're seriously considering taking that asshole back after everything he has put you through? He says he loves you, but he doesn't. I can see it in his eyes. He just wants to be able to say he's the one who took your virginity. He doesn't care." He said with a blank look on his face the entire time. He is really good at hiding his emotions sometimes. Though, I just realized what he just said.

"You don't know that. You barely even know him! He could still love me, have feelings for me. But you don't know that. I am willing to give him a second chance if we can go back to the couple that we used to be. Happy. The ideal couple. But I'm still considering it. You.Don't.Know" I don't know why, but everything he said just made tons of emotions swirl up inside me. Sadness, anger, defensiveness, etc.

"Look, chill. I know a hurt girl when I see one. And trust me, I've seen plenty. I'm just warning you to be careful around my brother. He isn't who you think he is." And with that, he walks out of my house. Not allowing me to respond to what he just said, or with another word. I stand their speechless.
