Chapter 3: Locked in Office

I was leading the team, I had prepared everything for the event. I was nervous as it has been a year since I left this, but it's alright. I was about to finish my work, and Pete came all of sudden.

Pete - Ms. Marrie, there have been lots of complaints against you, I am asking last time, if you are seriously interested in this job because your behavior is saying that you are not.

"Yes, I am interested in this job, I am sorry for all the things that happened but don't worry, I am not going to repeat my mistakes", I said.

"That's good. This time, just because of Tedom, you are here, as he is president, me and Samaria are just managing the company until it becomes successful, we are looking at the growth of the company because we have major shares, Tedom is quite new to the business, that's why, we are helping him to grow. My eyes met his eyes, and my eyes filled with tears, I fastly turned around, because my tears came out from one eye, then another. I closed my eyes, there was a great pain in my heart.

"Are you alright!? What happened!", he said.

"I have to leave, I am busy", I said and left. It was very difficult for me to confront him, look at him, talk to him, everything. I can't do this job.

Tedom came to me and said, "I saw everything, I don't know if you love him that much, why did you break up? Wasn't it you, and see you are only sad."

Tedom took a paper and pen and asked me to write everything I wanted to write. "No! These things are ridiculous, I am busy, bye". I said.

"Hey! It's not, just write everything on paper, you will feel good". He said.

I smiled and left.

I was so busy in preparation and I decided to do overtime, the reason was, I want to make this event very good. I think, when you work for your favorite job, it gives you a pleasant feeling. It's the only thing in my life that excites me. I have a dream to open my small event management company. And this dream motivates me. I think everyone should have a dream to make their life interesting. It excites you to do more.

"ugh, my thought process, I always keep thinking every time. Never get tired of it".

"Why are you here!" Carli said.

I was terrified, as all of sudden she came and asked.

"You terrified me! from where you came all of sudden and asked", I said and asked in friendly.

But Carlie was serious. It's because of my behavior. I have already said sorry, but saying it again doesn't make sense, so I asked her if she wanted to have lunch with me, and of course, I am going to pay for food. No one says no to free lunches or parties.
