Your Stupid Face || Dark Markery x Purple Marker

Chapter 3

Dark Markery woke up once more, deciding to just stay laying down for a bit today. He didn't really feel like getting up at all, just wanting to lay down and do nothing all day. But he couldn't do that, he had things to do, which is kind of surprising for him.

He's gonna be busy for a long while now, though, considering he's unfortunately getting closer to Purple Marker. But is it really as 'unfortunate' as he's made it out to be if he's enjoying his time around the marker?? Maybe so, maybe not, who knows, but he can't linger on that right now, he has to get up and at least say hi to Purple Marker. If he's going to give the other this 'friendship' or whatever, he's gonna have to stick to it.

He climbed out of his base, going over to the pedestal, greeting Purple Marker with a simple wave. He sat down on one of the little step things, looking up at the marker.

"Hii Dark Markery!! It's nice to see you didn't give up on me immediately, heh!" Purple Marker chuckled, immediately making the other soften. It's like they've already grown close after a day, or maybe Dark Markery just warms up to people easily, he didn't know. Maybe he would test this out while trying to make friends in other areas.. "So, what'cha wanna do today? I want you to pick today so we can both do something the other enjoys!!"

"I.. haven't really thought about it all that much.. I don't usually do things, so.." Dark Markery told him, thinking a little bit about what to do.

"Hmm.. what do you like? I'm sure we can find things that way!" The lighter marker asked optimistically. He really is determined, huh? I guess that's something to like about him, he doesn't really give up easily.. At least, not in this situation.

"Hm.. well, I like chainsaws, though I don't really know what to do with those that isn't, like, extremely dangerous or whatever.." The darker marker told him, sighing a bit. "Other than that, I don't really know. I never really.. Gave myself the chance to find hobbies or anything, so.."

"Well, you could always tell me about them! I've honestly always thought chainsaws were cool, i'd love to learn about them! I'm sure you know a ton of info about them, since you have one yourself! I'm willing to listen!!"' Purple Marker suggested with a grin. Dark Markery's eyes lit up at the thought, it would be nice to talk about all he knew about the tool.

"Really..? You'd listen to me ramble about them??" He asked, making sure Purple Marker wasn't just trying to make him happy, or whatever, and that he actually wanted to listen to him.

"Yeah, of course!! You're my friend after all! At least, I think we're friends..." Purple Marker responded to him, looking at him in hopes that the darker marker thinks the same of him.

"..yeah, I guess we are. Don't let that get to your head, though." Dark Markery confirmed, sighing a bit disappointedly.

"YIPPEE!!!" Purple Marker exclaimed happily, flapping his arms up and down. before quickly controlling himself, making sure not to get too caught up in himself. "Anyway, about the chainsaws."

Immediately, Dark Markery's eyes lit up more as he started rambling about his knowledge, how they're made, the different types of chainsaws, how much care they need, the cost of keeping one in good condition, etc etc. He kept going at it for hours, happily sharing all of the information he knew to the lighter colored marker.

Even though it only felt like a few minutes since he started talking, the sun was already starting to set, though Dark Markery didn't notice until it was pointed out.

"Oh wow, it's getting dark already!" Purple Marker exclaimed, breaking the darker colored object out of his trance.

"Oh, jeez, yeah.. unfortunate, I wasn't finished." Dark Markery commented, sighing sadly. He looked quite disappointed in how fast time really flew there.

"Hmm.. Oh! I know! You don't really have a house, right? You can come stay with me! We'll be able to have so much fun, you can still talk about your chainsaws on the way there, too! It'll be like a slumber party, except we'd be roommates, so it'll last longer!!!!" Purple Marker suggested excitedly, bouncing up and down while flapping his arms around. He looked at Dark Markery in excitement, praying to himself that he'll accept.

Dark Markery really didn't want to accept, as going from enemies to roommates within 2 days seemed like too drastic of a change, but.. as much as he didn't want to admit it, he didn't want to disappoint Purple Marker. He seemed so happy at the thought of them being roommates, how could he say no? He felt his face heat up a bit looking at the marker's face before looking away and responding.

"Fine, whatever. Just... give me a little bit to grab all of my stuff, and you can lead the way, or whatever.." He mumbled.

Purple Marker's face went from excited to ecstatic, jumping up and down at this point. Dark Markery had to stifle a giggle from the intense reaction, considering he didn't want to be too soft just yet.

"Jeez, calm down.. I'll be back, just give me a few moments." Dark Markery told the other, going to his current "home" and grabbing the stuff he deemed important enough to keep.

After a few minutes, he came out with a ton of items, him struggling to hold them all.

"oOH jeez, that's a lot of stuff!! Uhhh here, put them in here!!" Purple Marker exclaimed, pulling out a box seemingly out of no where, and putting it in front of the other.

"..Okay how did you— y'know what, I'm not gonna question that right now." Dark Markery confusingly said, gently putting his stuff into the box and picking it up.

"Come on, come on! Let's go!!!" Purple Marker rushed off in a direction, causing Dark Markery to run after him in a chance to keep up.

After a few minutes of running, they arrive at Purple Marker's house.

"Here we are!!" The lighter marker said happily, with the darker marker huffing out of breath.

What did he get himself into?
