Akane slowly backed up after the emotional exchange with Teru. "Thank you, Teru. I needed that hug," he admitted reluctantly.
"You're so cute when you're flustered, Akane." Teru cooed.
Did he just call me by my given name-and he called me cute? Akane blushed at the thought.
"Oh be quiet..." he playfully punched Teru's shoulder. Suddenly, the rain slowly started up again and the sky got darker. A worried expression crossed Akane's face.
"Oh...how will I get home in this weather? I don't have an umbrella..." He said, frowning.
"No need. I'll take you home under my umbrella." Teru offered. "I don't want you to get sick..."
"Is that so?" Akane smirked. "You seem to care about me quite a lot!"
"So what if I do!" Teru exclaimed irritably. He looked up to sky, noticing the ever darkening clouds and worsening weather. By this time, there were no other students of the school campus. It felt empty. "We should get going now. Without an umbrella, you'll surely catch a cold."
"Fine." Akane grumbled.

The two boys started down the sidewalk, their footsteps in sync with each other and the soft pitter,patter sound of the rain on the umbrella.
