Ch.3 The Classrooms of Pale City

Kid POV-

Mono and I played on the playground for a while until He noticed a long cloth hanging out of a window. 

"Hey kid do you think that someone could be in there?" Mono asked, not taking his eyes off the building. "Maybe.. should we go inside..?" I questioned in a small voice. He grabbed my hand and we went closer.  Mono grabbed the white cloth and started to climb. He got half way up and I decided to climb after. It didn't take long to get inside, but when I got up I didn't see Mono. I looked around a little until I got to the hallway and then..

"BOO!" 

I jumped and Mono began to giggle. "That was so unfunny." I said and furrowed my eyebrows.  "It definitely was to me." Mono said while he was still laughing. I just gave him a look and walked into the hallway where he was hiding. Mono ran to catch up with me, "I checked that room, it was a bunch of bunkbeds stacked up with toys everywhere." He said pointing to a room. I stepped inside a little to see exactly what he described. I stepped back out and walked back. There was this lever looking switch. 

"Hey, you think this does something?" I called over to Mono who was picking up an empty can. "It may." He shrugged, taking the empty can over and setting it down. He jumped up and pulled the switch. The lights went off and a light came beaming down. I looked to see where the light was coming from and it was from a painting. 

"Damn, shes ugly." Mono said blantly. I looked over and he just shrugged. "What's behind there?" He asked. I thought for a moment and then picked up the can he brought over here from earlier and I threw it at the painting.  The painting came crashing down exposing a huge hole in the wall. Mono turned to look at me with that dumb bag on his head still.

"Okay Mr, Im so smart." He said while taking my hand and dragging me over to the hole. We climbed over and there was just a chair in the very very small room.  I looked down and saw that there was a trap door on the floor. "Hey Mono look." I point at the door. He walks over and starts to jump on it. I look at him like he is a psycho. "Come on we can bust it open!" He says while pulling me on to the door and continues to jump again. I start to jump in sync with him and the door breaks open. We fall through into a crawl space. Mono grabs my hand heading further. We crawl through and go into this area where there are broads going down. We go down and end up at a vent. Mono was already trying to pry it off, but no success. I helped him get it off and we climbed through. 

"Is this a school..?" I questioned when we got out. It was a hallway with a locker down on the floor. Mono was on top of the locker when a huge shadow of a thing with its neck slowly shrinking back into a normal way closed a door. I closed my mouth as I started to get across the locker. Mono was waiting on the other side and as soon as I got over he grabbed my hand and we ran into the next hallway. I noticed in the next hallway there was a broad sticking up. I quickly stopped Mono before he stepped on it. 

"Wait the board is up. There may be a trap or something." I said looking into the holes of his bag. I try to see if i can get the smallest look at his eyes but I can't see anything, it's too dark.  He pulled us over the end of the hallway and stepped on the board. The board went down and a bucket full of stuff tied to a rope came down. 

"That would have hurt." Mono looking over to me. I nodded my head and we went on through the hall over a light and through a hole in the barrier or lockers. We got to the next hall and I warned mono about another broad that was up. 

I told him, "Whoever lives here must really want no one to come in." He looked back at me from the broad, "Well whoever it is must not realize how suspicious a board up is." This time Mono stepped on it and a Pan and Pot tied together came down on the right and then something else was coming down on the left so I quickly got in the middle of the two traps while Mono went to the very edge.
