Chapter 20: Finale

"He's your what!?" Y/N asked baffled while looking at Sunghoon.

Sunghoon stepped forward, his arms crossed. "You heard me, we're brothers"

Taehyun glared at him. "I always knew you were a coward Sunghoon,"

Sunghoon scoffed. "Oh Taehyun don't act like you suspected anything. I had you fooled from the very beginning."

Y/N placed her hand near Taehyun's. A mixture of shock and betrayal was written across her face.

"It was you...you've been setting us up." Y/N said her voice cracking.

Sunghoon looked at her. "That's right. Every attack was perfectly planned by yours truly." He smirked and gave a small bow.

"You son of a bitch- I'll kill you!" Taehyun shouted as Y/N grabbed his hand to stop him.

"You tried to kill him!" Y/N said pointing to Yuka.

"No I didn't. Only the bank and tournament did we try to kill Taehyun, but that was before we learned he might be useful to us." Yuka said.

"Exactly, Chase informed us that Kang's father had eyes on Taehyun's whole operation and that he might have what we need. But all this needed to be confirmed of course." Sunghoon said walking closer. "So we set up multiple scenarios to implant doubts into your father's mind so he'll force you to go back to the mansion."

Taehyun gripped Y/N's hand tightly as the other balled into a fist.

"I wonder Taehyun did you ever think why did the bad guys know where you were each time you tried to do something? Perhaps you wondered why there were guards at the aquarium or maybe at the president's house. How did they know you were coming?" Sunghoon chuckled. "I let them know. I also tipped off your dad's little spy squad watching you that your investigation wasn't going anywhere."

Taehyun remained quiet as Sunghoon spoke.

"Your dad is an ever bigger fool than you. He told his team to send you back to the mansion as soon as the aquarium fight broke out." Sunghoon said.

"I took a little detour while I was at your house and you know what I found? A piece of paper with your name on it telling me you are one of accessors to the account."

Y/N's face fell the more Sunghoon talked. He had it all planned out and they played right into his hand.

"After we were sure you could be of use we decided to kidnap you." Yuka said.

"You know that movie star. He was more than happy to help in our plan. Eagerly encouraging that poor director to cast you two. Unfortunately, he and his crew had to go." Sunghoon sighed. "Very tragic."

"Save it Sunghoon, you only cared about yourself, save your pity." Taehyun hissed.

Sunghoon placed his arms behind his back. "I care about getting what I want. Sadly, I wanted you to give up the password at the studio but you just had to mess that up. No worries though, Y/N gave me another opportunity at the fair."

Y/N looked away, regret beginning to settle in. She remembered texting Sunghoon while she was getting ready that her and Taehyun would be at the fair.

"This doesn't make sense. Sunghoon how could you do this?" Y/N asked trying to hold back her tears. She stepped to Taehyun's side.

Sunghoon chuckled. "Y/N my dear, I was never on your side. I just had to act like little innocent Sunghoon who didn't know a thing."

"And now everything has come full circle. I have the password and you'll finally be dead." Sunghoon said pulling out a gun.
