You were once again awoken by your alarm clock ringing loudly in your ear. You slapped it reluctantly, which made it go flying off your nightstand.
"Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!" You hear a muffled voice from behind your door. You groaned, flipping the blanket to cover your head.
"I SAID, GET YO BOOTY UP RIGHT NOW FOOL." Megan screeched, busting through the door making you jump in your bedsheets.
"Oh, so you are awake!"
You glared at her.
"Now get up, I made breakfast." Your roommate slams the door behind her. Your speechless. Wait.. Megan doesn't cook.. your eyes widened. You jump of bed and slam open your door. You're immediately introduced to the smell of burnt toast.
"What did you do?!" You gasp.
"What do you mean? I made breakfast!"
"You made a literal burnt toast and burnt," You sniff the air, "Burnt eggs?! How do you even do that?!"
"Do what?
"Are you seriously playing stupid right now?"
"I have no clue what your talking about." Megan smiled, making another burnt egg.
You sigh. You weren't that hunger anyways.
"I'll just order breakfast."
"Awww, your already going to work?"
You glare at her as you slammed your bedroom door shut.

"Ok, I know it really early to do this," You sighed, locking you fingers together. You attempted to look professional, but with the looks of your crew, it seems as you were failing. "But I want to check in on how yall are doing." As a response, everyone groaned.
"I mean, what did we expect?" Mark shook his head. You blushed slightly, quite embarrassed.
"Well, I've already made a checklist of the supplies we might need!" Lizzy beamed, pulling out a packet of papers from her backpack.
"And I've already gotten the measurements of how deep we'll be going." Jeremy smiled.
"Dame, yall are way ahead of me," Mark laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head.
"What is your job anyways?" Lizzy commented.
"Oh, it's to make sure the submarine is ready for our trip."
"What's the problem then?"
"Well, a group of engineers are creating a new submarine and they want us to test it. They're still in the process of creating it, so I have nothing to make sure that works."
The group glanced nervously. "What if it doesn't work?" Jeremy asked.
Mark shrugged. "I haven't gotten the piece of information yet."
You rubbed your temples, thinking off all the possibilities of how this project might go wrong.
"But don't worry," Mark spoke in a cheerful voice, making you raise your head, "Their almost done building it. They just need to add the top, which they already built. It'll still take a while though..."
You sighed, "That's fine Mark, just keep us posted when it's finished." Mark nodded. "Good job everyone, I think we can all go home early for today." The crew cheered as you stood up, grabbed your bag, and left the room. Since you left early, maybe you could go to the nearby Cafe for a special treat.

"Two blueberry muffins with a caramel frappuccino and a fruit smoothie please." You smile at the cashier.
"Coming right up! Please find a seat while we prepare your meal."
"Thank you!" You called over your shoulder as you sit at a singular table near the window. You sighed and pulled out your phone to scroll through some stories. You couldn't stop thinking about your project. It just felt... special for some reason. Maybe you could convince your boss to send you early, just to have a look around. You tried to shake that thought out of your mind, but your brain refused to let it go.
"Order for Y/N!" A voice called, snapping you back to reality.
"Coming!" You get up quickly. A little too quickly. You stub your toe at the edge of the table leg and quietly cursed. You wobbled your way towards the cashier, handed them the amount of money you needed to pay, and left the Cafe. You were pretty sure that would leave a bruise.
