"Reichhh! Wake up! It's almost 2 PM get your ass up!"

A voice yelled through Reich's bedroom door, Reich groggily sat up in his bed, his hair messy and knotted. He growled and threw a pillow at the door and snuggled back in his bed. The door swung open to reveal New Zealand, she huffed and tore the blankets off of Reich, he shivered, and curled into a ball. New Zealand rolled her eyes and pulled him off his bed.

"C'mon, get dressed! You should have been awake hours ago!" She huffed.

Reich nodded and rubbed his eyes. New Zealand walked out of his room and closed the door. Reich shook his head and got dressed, he decided to wear a simple black shirt and pants. It felt incomplete without his beloved trenchcoat, the one he got from his father... he sighed, he hadn't seen it in years and wondered if it had rotted away all those years ago. Or if Soviet had taken it.

Reich had fallen from grace ever since the end of the war, he wasn't as organized as he was before. Nor as insane. Now he was in the new rehabilitation program the UN implemented for old countries, like himself.  This program, at its core, was basically for paying for past crimes against humanity, by listing all of the people and crimes they did. And, considering what he did all those years ago... that was going to take a long time. He was too tired to argue about it and there was no reason why he should. There was proof he did those things and you can't deny solid evidence for long now, can you?

He looked at himself in the mirror, his orange and red eyes dimmed, tired. His wings drooped, heavy with past regrets. He knew he didn't deserve this chance he had gotten, he deserved none of this mercy. For all he did. He grabbed a brush from his dresser and started to brush his hair, it glided through his hair pretty smoothly, except for the knots here and there. After about five minutes his hair was fully brushed. He then opened his door and walked through. The place where he stayed was nice, it was two stories and his room was on the second floor, below him was the living room which connected to the laundry room and the kitchen/dining room. He walked down the stairs and politely greeted everyone. Britain was sitting in a comfy red armchair reading a book peacefully. America and his siblings were all chatting about something or other. Ireland, Scotland, England, and France were all in the kitchen helping with lunch. Reich sat on the couch quietly.

America took notice of this and excused himself from his little group to go over to Reich and sat by him. Reich looked over at him, why are you here? America waved at him and cleared his throat.

"Uhm... heeeyyyyyyyyy? You like...-" America squirmed around a little bit to get comfy beside Reich. "You like eggs?" He finished.

"Yes... I do. Why?" Reich responded, his voice deep with exhaustion and the fact that he just had woken up.

"We're having eggs for lunch!"

Reich just gave him a confused look, at-" He looked at the time for a moment on a digital clock on a table nearby. "2:05 PM?"

America just nodded. "Yeah, sandwiches."

Reich just awkwardly nodded back and looked down at the ground. America sighed, still closed off and not willing to talk... he leaned his head back and looked at the ceiling. What could he do to have Reich open up? Maybe just talk to him more since that usually happens when.. ya know... TALK TO SOMEONE.

"Lunch!" French called out from the kitchen, and suddenly, there was a stampede of countries trying to get to the dining room. America gently grabbed Reich's arm and dragged him to the dining room where his family was waiting.

They both sat down next to each other and waited for France and the others to bring out the food. Britain cleared his throat and everyone looked at him curiously.

"So... Reich... how did you sleep?" He asked. Everyone then looked at Reich, Reich gulped, oh thanks jackass for the unwanted attention.

"Nun, Großbritannien... I'm fine." Reich replied plainly, not wanting to say anything more.

"Alright then." Sighed Britain.

Soon, France, Ireland, Scotland, and England came out with the food and sat down with the rest of the family.

The sandwich looked good, the bread was toasted to perfection and it smelled wonderful! Reich looked at France, obviously, they didn't have the best relationship. Considering he invaded her land during the war. So they just avoided each other.

Reich picked up the sandwich delicately and took a bite, he let out a happy hum. This tasted delicious! America looked at him and sighed happily, at least he looked happier.

Ireland spoke up suddenly.

"Did yall 'ear of the party an Ghearmáin is making?"

Reich gave her a confused look, who was an Ghearmáin?

Britain looked at Ireland with an annoyed glare, and Ireland flipped him off.

"soith." She hissed.

Britain rolled his eyes.

"By an Ghearmáin, she means Germany." He clarified.

"Oh... danke." Reich thanked.

Scotland sighed and grabbed a bottle of scotch whiskey and proceeded to chug the entire bottle. England slammed his head on the table and also grabbed a bottle of scotch. Alcohol my beloved.

Britain rubbed his temples, he just wanted to have a normal dinner, with his very normal family, in a very normal environment. Canada, New Zealand, Australia, France, and America all looked at each other tiredly. The lunch went on much more quietly now. Well... at least the food was good.

All the plates were collected after lunch and Reich went up to his makeshift office in a small corner of his room. He hadn't finished his sentence yet, he had hundreds of names to record and write down. He wouldn't be seen for most of the day now. America stopped him on his way up, Reich wondered what the eagle wanted from him now.

"Hey uh... do you wanna go around town with me later?" He asked, meek.

"America, you know I'm not meant to leave the house until I'm finished," Reich replied with slight venom. "and you know you can't help me either."

America's wings drooped and he nodded sadly. "Right... I remember... uh... goodluck." He then walked away, rejected again. Although it was for a good reason. He'll just have to wait until Reich is done, until then, he can bide his time.
