Y/n woke up the next day to the smell of (random breakfast food). They sat up and let out a loud yawn before stretching. "What time is it..." they looked over at a clock on the wall to see 11 a.m. "Huh, looks like I slept in a bit..." they chuckled to themself before slipping out of the warm sheets and stepping onto the cold wooden floor.
Y/n walked out of the bed room and made their way over to the kitchen and spotted Wally putting some (random food) on/in a plate/bowl and humming the tune to Won't You Be My Neighbor. "Morning, Wally!" They said eyeing the food hungerly.
"Morning, dear!" Y/n blushed slightly at the nickname before the thought being quickly replaced by Wally handing them a plate/bowl of food. They immediately sat down and began to scarf it down, as a knock was sounded from the kitchen door. Wally wiped his hands on his apron (that happened to say kiss the cook) and opened the door to see none other than Eddie.
"Good morning, neighbor! Just delivering the invitation to you and Y/n. It's from Julie!" Wally thanked Eddie before closing the door behind him. "What does it say?" Y/n asked in curiosity as they finished up their last bite. Wally smiled after his eyes scanned the letter.
"It appears our dear neighbor, Julie, has invited us to a tea party!" Y/n smiled as they wiped their face. "That sounds great!" Wally agreed and quickly ate his food with his eyes before taking both of their dishes and putting them in the sink. "Come now! It says the party starts at 12 and it is already 11:30!"
The two hurriedly got ready before making their way over to Julie's. Wally knocked on the door and an excited Julie opened it. "So glad you two could make it!" She bid them in and they all joined the rest of the neighbors that were already there.
Everyone settled into their seats around Julie's table as she served tea and different pastries. Y/n sat down next to Frank and Wally sat on the opposite side. Everyone was having a good time when Y/n noticed something or rather someone was missing from the party. "Hey, has anyone seen Sally?"
The neighbors exchanged a glance before looking at Y/n oddly. "Who?" Poppy asked after she swallowed a cracker. "I- uh... huh. I'm not sure." Y/n shrugged it off and the party went on like normal. Around evening time, Julie had cleared the table and pulled out the good old game, Monopoly.
"Oh I'm so going to kick your *ss, Frank." Eddie said smirking at them. "Not if I kick yours first." The two stared each other down as Wally cleared his throat. "Language you two." Frank scoffed at Wally. "Oh please, like Y/n hasn't sworn before." Wally gave give Frank a look of disappointment, earning a sigh from Frank.
"Moving on, I'll purchase New York Ave. please." (It's US monopoly) Wally said as he handed his Monopoly money to the game dealer. The game continued for a while until Howdy stood up in triumph after making everyone go bankrupt. "Aww, no fair! Howdy's too good with businessy stuff." Frank mumbled earning a snicker from Eddie.
"Such a sore loser. At least I went bankrupt last." Eddie said as he beamed at Frank. "Yeah yeah, whatever. At least I didn't go bankrupt first." Julie dramatically gasped at Frank. "Hey! I can't help I kept getting stuck in jail..." Everyone ended up laughing, before the party came to an end.

Y/n arrived home, tired after a fun day. They placed down their bags from the sleepover they had with Wally and went into the bathroom to go freshen up. As Y/n washed their hands in the sink, they felt themselves spacing out and beginning to feel like something was off.
Whatever that feeling was, faded as soon they heard a knock on their front door. They dried their hands and went out to the door and opened it, only to see a basket that had a cloth over it on their front porch. They smiled and picked it up, before closing the door and bringing it to the kitchen counter.
Y/n carefully lift the cloth off and stared with confusion at it being full of strawberries. There was a small note on top that read:
You left your container of strawberries from our little trip to the super market the other day! Let me know if that strawberry short cake turns out good!
Sincerely, Wally~~
