Jake & Sloane. Sloane & Jake. J&S. S&J. Sloane Hearts Jake. Jake Hearts Sloane. Mrs. Sloane Dania Ripley.
I balled up the piece of paper with senseless writing. I threw the paper towards my trashcan and it would have made it if it wasn't for the overcrowding of other paper balls with Jake and I names on them. I stared out my window while I sat down at my window seat. I had paper and different color pens to illustrate my love sick thoughts. After last night, my thoughts have been in a puppy love frenzy.
His arms encircled around my waist making me jump.
"Thinking about me?" he whispered with amusement
"Don't flatter yourself." I chuckled
"What are you doing?" he asked while moving the paper out of the way to sit
"Nothing." I shrugged
He chuckled then picked up a pen and began to scribble all over the paper.
"Jake & Sloane. Sloane & Jake.-"
I snatched the paper away and looked at it. It was the imprint of each phrase I had just wrote. My cheeks flared up in embarrassment. I threw the notebook near the trash and he chuckled.
"That was...interesting." he said trying mask his laughter
"It was...an experiment." I lied
"An experiment to see how well our names combined?" he laughed
"Shut up." I scolded redder than before
"It's adorable."
"Ugh!" I said rolling my eyes
I walked out and headed up the stairs with him following me still laughing. I found Aunt Grace in the living room watching TV so I sat down next to her on the couch.
"How's it going?" she asked
"Fine, I guess."
"What's wrong?"
"Other than Jake laughing at me, I've been craving some burritos."
"Why is he laughing at you?"
"That doesn't matter. Do you know a place?" I asked
"Yea I do actually. A place called Ramona's, its in town. They have the best Mexican food."
"Ok, thanks. Do you want anything?" I asked
"Yea, get me three tacos with everything on them." she said reaching for her purse
"No it's on me."
"No, I insist."
"I'm paying with the money you gave me."
"Well if you put it that way." she chuckled
I laughed as I walked out of the room.
"You and Jake have been getting close, no?"
"Yea, we're...friends."
"Or maybe something more?" she smiled
I put my head down in embarrassment.
"I won't tell your dad." she said
"Thanks." I said quickly walking out
I went into the dining room to see if Jake was there. To my surprise, it was empty. I felt his arms encircle around my waist making me jump.
"Jake." I scolded
"Looking for me?"
"Unfortunately."
"What do you need?" he asked
