 Meredith settles on the couch, feeling a bit out of place among the boisterous Marauders and Lily's lively banter. You are not used to being around so many people, and you are not sure how to join in on their conversation. However, as you watch them, you can't help but feel a sense of warmth and belonging. You've always admired the bond that the Potters and the Marauders share, and it's heartening to see it firsthand.

As they continue to talk and joke, James looks over at Meredith and smiles. "Hey, Meredith. Are you enjoying yourself?"

Meredith nods, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yes, I am. It's great to be here with all of you."

Remus, who's sitting next to her, chimes in. "We're glad to have you, Meredith. You're practically family, after all."

Meredith's smile grows wider at that. She's always felt welcome around the Potters and the Marauders, but to hear Remus say that makes her feel even more at ease.

Sirius, who's sitting on the other side of Remus, suddenly jumps up. "I know what we should do! Let's play some Quidditch!"

Everyone cheers at the suggestion, and before long, they're all outside, grabbing broomsticks and getting ready to play. Meredith watches from the sidelines, content to just watch them have fun. However, as the game goes on, you can't help but feel a bit left out.

After the game ends, Harry comes over to her. "Hey, Meredith. You didn't want to play Quidditch?"

Meredith shakes her head. "No, I'm not very good at it. Plus, I didn't want to get in the way."

Harry smiles at you. "Don't worry about it. We're all just here to have fun. You should give it a try sometime. I'll teach you."

Meredith feels her cheeks grow warm at the thought of spending one-on-one time with Harry, but she nods anyway. "That sounds like fun."

As they all head back inside, Meredith can't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the Potters and the Marauders. They may not be your blood family, but they've always made her feel like you belong.
