As you walk up to the Quidditch pitch, she sees Harry, his father and godfather already with their brooms, waiting for her to join them.
"Hey there, Meredith! Are you on my team or are you ready to lose?," says James Potter with a grin.
"Hey guys!" you say, smiling back at James. "I'm ready to get in on the action. What's the plan?"
"Well, we were just going to have a friendly game. How about you join Harry on his team and we'll take the other side?" suggests Sirius Black.
"That sounds good to me," you reply, nodding.
"Alright then, let's get started!" says Harry, and with that, the game of Quidditch begins.
As the game begins, Harry flies over to your side and greets you with a smile.
"Hey, Meredith! Since this is your first time playing with us, let me go over the rules with you real quick," he says.
"Thanks, Harry! I appreciate it," you reply.
"Okay, so the object of the game is to score points by throwing the Quaffle through one of the hoops on the opposite end of the pitch. Each goal is worth ten points. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins," Harry explains.
"What about the other balls?" you ask, looking at the other flying objects on the pitch.
"The Bludgers are used to knock players off their brooms. They're controlled by two Beaters, one on each team but since we've lack of players they're here just for the show. The Snitch is a small golden ball that flies around the pitch on its own. Catching the Snitch is worth 150 points, and it ends the game," Harry continues.
"Got it. So, how do we win?" you ask.
"We'll have to work together to score as many goals as we can, while also keeping an eye out for the Bludgers as they could hit us and trying to catch the Snitch. Ready to give it a shot?" Harry says, grinning.
"Absolutely!" you reply, eager to get started.
" Do you think we can win Harry" Meredith asks
"Well, anything is possible, Meredith. We have a strong team here, and if we work together and play our best, we definitely have a shot," Harry replies with a smile. "But let's not worry too much about winning or losing. Let us just focus on playing a good game and having fun!"
With Harry's guidance, you start playing Quidditch with confidence. You take to the air and soar around the pitch, feeling the wind rushing through your hair.
As the game progresses, you work with Harry and to try to score as many goals as possible while dodging the Bludgers . You can feel the excitement building as the score gets closer and closer.
Suddenly, you see a flash of gold as the Snitch whizzes by. You and Harry both spot it at the same time and race towards it, your brooms flying at top speed.
"Come on, Meredith, we can catch it!" Harry calls out.
You feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins as you chase after the Snitch, trying to get closer and closer. You can see Harry doing the same, his eyes fixed on the tiny golden ball.
As you both reach out to grab the Snitch, your fingers brush against Harry's, and you both make a lunge for it. You can feel your heart racing as you try to catch it.
Who will catch the Snitch? The game hangs in the balance as you both fly towards it with everything you've got
As the game progresses, you notice that Sirius is scoring a lot of goals, too bad for your team. He seems to be in top form today, throwing the Quaffle through the hoops with precision.
Despite Sirius's impressive performance, neither team has caught the Snitch yet. You and Harry continue to fly around the pitch, keeping your eyes peeled for any sign of the golden ball.
The score is getting closer and closer, and the tension is mounting. You can feel the pressure building as both teams try to gain the upper hand. But no matter how hard you try, the Snitch remains just out of reach.
As the game wears on, you begin to feel a sense of exhaustion setting in. Your muscles are aching from all the flying and maneuvering, but you keep pushing yourself, determined to keep going until the end.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, you spot the Snitch once again. You and Harry race towards it, your brooms hurtling through the air at breakneck speed.
You and Harry reach out to grab the Snitch, your fingers almost touching it. But at the last second, the tiny golden ball zips out of reach, and you're left feeling disappointed.
Despite your efforts, neither team catches the Snitch, and the game ends in a tie. But as you land back on the ground, you can't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. You played your best, and that's what matters most.

As you and Harry land back on the ground, you can see that he's a bit flushed from all the excitement of the game. You can't help but feel a rush of gratitude towards him for helping you learn the rules of Quidditch and for being such a great teammate.
Without thinking, you run over to Harry and give him a big hug, thanking him for all his help.
"Thanks so much, Harry. I couldn't have done it without you," you say, smiling.
Harry looks a little taken aback by your sudden show of affection, but he quickly recovers and returns your hug, a grin spreading across his face.
"No problem, Meredith. It was my pleasure. You did great out there," he says.
You both stand there for a moment, just enjoying the warmth of the embrace and the sense of camaraderie that comes from playing on the same team.
As you pull away from Harry, you can't help but feel a little bit embarrassed. You didn't mean to make him blush, but it's clear that your hug had an effect on him.
But even so, you can't help but feel grateful for the experience of playing Quidditch with such a great group of people
As you pull away from your hug with Harry, you suddenly feel a surge of emotion welling up inside of you. You can't help but feel incredibly fond of him and grateful for everything he's done for you.
Without really thinking about it, you lean in and plant a gentle kiss on Harry's cheek. As you pull back, you can see that he's gone bright red, and he seems to be at a loss for words.
"Uh, wow, Meredith. That was, uh, unexpected and um brilliant," he stammers.
You feel a pang of regret at having made Harry feel uncomfortable, but at the same time, you can't help but feel a little bit pleased with yourself. There's something about him that just makes you want to show your affection.
"I'm sorry if that was too much, Harry. I just wanted to thank you for being such a great friend," you say, smiling.
Harry seems to relax a little bit at your words, and a small smile spreads across his face.
"No, it's okay. I appreciate it, Meredith. You're a great teammate and friend too," he says.
You both stand there for a moment, basking in the afterglow of the game and the warmth of your friendship. Despite the unexpected turn of events, you can't help but feel happy and content.
