Dear family,
I really like London, I would say, after a month living here, that I'm in love with it. But it also has me bewildered. I have to admit, the love I have for London is, at this point, quite irrational. I thought people in Barcelona -which used to be "the big city" to me- was frenetic. I thought "Barcelonins" were rude and that they were always on a rush. Oh, I had no idea.
I thought the MNAC (the National Museum of Catalonia) was impressive, because of all the medieval art from the Pyrenees in it. I had no idea. I did not know about the size of the Egyptian statues that these people had plundered and that they proudly show to everyone without charging a penny for the entry. I thought Egypt, Australia and South Africa were far away, but now, thinking about the boat that transported a moai from the Easter Island to London, nothing seems to be that far away from here. In London, the world seems smaller.
I keep myself entertained here. Every day there is something to see, something to visit. I think when I get back home, I will be unable to deal with boredom. Although, truth being said, I have never been good at it.
Anyway, everything is fine here. I'll try to keep in touch.
Lots of love,
Neus.
