Little did I know

emotional day

          Today, Aaron is leaving at 2 p.m. for his flight.

Well, that saddens me a lot because it was so fun having him around. Now that he'll be leaving, it makes me damn sad.

Yesterday night, we played until 12 a.m., and I won.

Time flies quickly when you're happy. That's true. The last few weeks were full of chilling, fun, and memories.

It is my third and last year of college. Soon, college is going to start, but I ain't ecstatic or excited. I just want this year to end as fast as possible. I also know that I'm continuing the legacy of staying invisible for one more year.

Little did I know, life had other plans.

I woke up at 7:15 today, took a shower, wore my favourite pink sundress, and went into the kitchen.

Aaron's leaving, so I wanted to make something for him. I decided to make granola bars for him in bulk so that he could eat them for breakfast. I was also planning to make him chocolate chip cookies and almond cookies.

It was 7:45 when I entered the kitchen. Mom was already having a cup of coffee.

"Morning, Mom," I said as I saw Mom making coffee.

"Morning, dear. I'm making a cup for myself. Shall I make you one?" Mom asked.

"Yup. Aaron's not up yet?" I asked, as he has a flight today.

"He came back from his jog some time ago and is packing his things," Mom said while handing me my coffee.

"Hey, Mom, don't tell him. I'm making cookies and granola bars for him. He likes almond and chocolate chip cookies, so I woke up early to make those," I said, sipping my coffee. Ahhh, coffee is just loveee!

"Oh, he's going to love those, dear. Don't worry. He said he's meeting Rose after packing."

"I'm telling you, Mom, he's head over heels for her. You'll see her as your daughter-in-law one day."

"Oh, dear, Rose is such a nice, sweet girl. They both look so lovely together. I'm waiting for the day she gets married to Aron."

Mom loves Rose. Rose is like a family member to us. She used to come over a lot, even when Aron wasn't here. She's beautiful inside and out, and that's why my brother is so in love with her. But that idiot won't propose to her. I've told him many times, but he would get all prepared and then wouldn't be able to say anything in front of her.

Rose is my good friend. She genuinely likes Aaron. Even a mere mention of Aaron makes her blush. She adores him.
