Chapter 11

He quickly, pulls himself away, feeling extremely embarrassed "haath de" giving into his hand, she shyly stands up unable to meet his intense gaze a very naughty adil mischievously smirks earning a smack from sidharth.

"Bhai, I'm your real brother !" rolling eyes, asked to concentrate on decoration rather than passing looks "haan, pata hai .. chal kaam par dihaan de." twisting lips adil walks off making a grumpy face "why did u hit him ??" shehnaaz questions "tujhe bura lag raha hai.. uske harkatein nahi dekhe kya tune jab dekho masti mazak" didn't like way, adil tried teasing them, as if couples.

"That's his nature !" she pointed out, avoiding he took a leave meanwhile she got occupied, helping ladies in their arrangement. 

"Taaye ammi, aap wahan kyun khade hain andar aye ... maine notice he nahi kiya .. aaj ke party ke liye dress dhoondh rahe thi, kuch samajh he nahi araha ke kya pehnu ?" shagufta ji, hands over the bag of dress "maine designer se keh kar unka sab se exclusive piece tumhare liye mangwa liya kyun ke aaj raat ke taqreeb (get together) bohut special hone wale hai." she furrowed eyebrows on getting confused "special ?!" realized, maybe on her son's arrival they're considering it special.

"Aap bina bhoole, bachpan se harr occasion mein mere liye itne pyaare dresses banwate hain thank you taaye ammi hamesha ke tarah is baar bhi aap ke choice best hai." she happily, utters shagufta ji emotionally hugs, feeling her emotion all over the place "meri pyaari bache" kissing head, praises as she is soon going to be her son's bride.

At 8:00 pm, guests are seen enjoying grand party hosted by khan's, where elders are welcoming the youngsters are having blast talking to each-other. That's when, zain notices his sister is missing "ye shehnaaz kahan reh gaye ?" while having starters with his cousin, sidharth realizes her absence too.

Finally, saw her stepping down wearing gorgeous white and golden embroidered anarkali. He went awestruck witnessing her beauty.
He snapped back, hearing unstoppable praises of his mother and cousins standing beside him "oho chup kyun khade ho .. batao na .. achi lag rahi hai ya nahi ?" shagufta ji, nudges sidharth.

Due to which, shehnaaz becomes awkward "haan bohut ache lag rahe hai." sidharth complimented. She shyly, lowers down gaze until jamshed ji took mike to proudly introduce his son back to town it made everybody smile "Is khushi ke mauke mein hum kuch bohut bara share karna chahte hain ek minute, shehnaaz beta wahan khade kya kar rahe ho yahan ao hamare paas !" jamshed ji, called out confusing sidharth and other family members.

Bi Jaan somewhere had an idea because sidharth parents discussed with her before taking this step finally made an announcement "jaisa kai sabhi ko hamesha se andaza raha hai shehnaaz sidharth ki amanat ke taur par bhai jaan ke paas thi, ab waqt agaya hai woh hume wapis lauta de jaye ?!" looks at his brother with hopeful gaze.

"Mera matlab, is khushi ke mauke pe bhai bhabi se shehnaaz ka haath apne bete ke liye maangna chahta hoon !" surprising everyone but shocking sidharth, who felt like someone has snatched the floor, cruelly sinking him under the ground what on earth is happening ... how can they make such irrational decisions without taking his consent.

He won't let this happen "abu .. aap meri zindagi ka ahem faisla mujhse bina puche.. kaise le sakte hain ?" he angrily, asks feeling controlled doesn't even care to show his disappointment away as he loses his mind after hearing the announcement.

Panicking their family and shattering his bestie's heart who he promised to protect for life "beta ye kaise baatein kar rahe ho bachpan se humne tum dono ka rishta, zain aur zoya ke tarah kardiya tha phir puchne ke baat kahan se agaye ?" jamshed ji reacts angrily too while the guests start gossiping due to which shehnaaz felt insulted, entire family tasted embarrassment.

"Kis saade mein reh rahe ho aap bachpan ke kiye gaye faisle 2023 mein kaun apne bachaun ke upr thopta hai ?" he snorts, unable to believe.

"Apne bakwaas bandh karo .. bhool gaye ek waqt huwa karta tha jab tum khud yeh kaha karte thai ke shehnaaz meri hai ... main shehnaaz se shaadi karunga." jamshed ji reminds by raising his tone.

"Hosakta hai .. maine kaha hoga .. bachpan mein lekin un bataun ko kaun serious laita hai .. maine toh kab ke bhola dein ... shayed agar aaj aap yaad na dilwate toh kabhi yaad bhi na ate." his words r acting like knife, mercilessly being stabbed inside her chest, unable to endure, moves to leave "hoga tumhare liye bachpana lekin kisi ke liye woh uske zindagi bann kar reh gaya !" zain holds her arm, a very agonized shehnaaz gestures to let her go "plz don't .." she pleads through her quivering lips.

She will break down, controlling her emotions is getting difficult and acting strong is impossible a mere hope, that was being dragged has now been ruthlessly shattered.

Zain's word caught sidharth off-guard "meri aap sabse guzarish hai please apne ghar chale jaye !!" Bi jaan, requests by folding hands, the world got enough gossip for today cannot let them witness their argument "kya matlab ?" sidharth heads to know more but shehnaaz interrupts "kuch nahin is baat ko yahin khatum kar dein !" sidharth was taken aback by her mere glance, it was terrifying her tone, loud and clear, scaring everyone in fact him too all he can now view is a shattered family as if this was the only reason of their happiness.

But, how could they expect something out of the silliest childhood talks ??

Was shehnaaz aware of their family plannings ?

Is zain indirectly pointing out towards his sister ?

What's going on !!

Did they always have this in their thoughts ?

Doesn't matter, he cannot marry somebody that he now barely knows !

As far as, his marriage is concerned .. will marry when he finds the right girl.

He won't tie the knot with shehnaaz only for the sake of his parents or families will.
