"18... 19... 20! Ready or not, here I come!" Your mother yelled. You giggled from under your bed before covering your mouth to stop more small bursts of laughter from escaping. She neared the bed, most likely having heard your giggles. You heard her footsteps grow fainter and sighed before getting picked up by two gloved hands. You looked up, assuming it was your mother, but you were mistaken. It was a weird man wearing a silver bird-like mask.

"Sir, I've found a child! What should I do with them?" He yelled. A taller man entered the room with your mother in handcuffs in front of him. You cried and reached out to her. She smiled weakly at you.

"Well done, Steve. Throw them into the cart with their father. We'll put the kid into a cell in the conformatorium later." You thrashed around in the man's arms in attempt to leave.

"Hey kid, wake up! Come on!" You opened your eyes and stared outside the cell. There stood Warden Wrath, the man keeping you all here. He threw some slop into the cell. "Here. Your meal for the day." After saying that, he left. You stared at the 'food' on the ground and groaned.

"Hey cat lady, how'd you get out of your cell?" One of your prison mates asked. You peered outside and saw a girl with cat ears outside. You looked at her with a mix of confusion, amazement and hope. She looked at the prisoner that asked the question.

"Oh no no no I'm not a cat. Also, I'm not a criminal." She said. You scoffed. None of you were criminals, but were in here for not fitting in or by knowing a criminal. It was unfair in your opinion.

"Not yet, you're not." A weird dog thing wearing a skull commented. The girl pulled down her hood to reveal her head. You got a good look at her round ears. Wait... Round?

"Neither are we. The stupid warden likes to lock people up who don't fit in." The girl in the next cell replied angrily. You sighed heavily, knowing she was about to go on a rant. "Like, I write fan fics of food falling in love. I like food, I like love... Just let me write about it!" She added passionately. You decided you'd go next.

"I'm in here because my parents were covenless." You sighed deeply. "They just wanted to express themselves by using different kinds of magic..." You looked away from the round eared girl. You could feel her looking at you with sympathy.

"Y/N doesn't like talking about what happened to their parents, so you shouldn't bother asking them." Katya told the girl. Then a demon told her he likes eating his own eyeballs, and Tinella Nosa came in with her theories.

"Wait. These aren't crimes. None of you actually did anything wrong." You saw the look on her face shift as she pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket. "You're all just a bunch of weirdos... Like me."

It was then you heard banging. You could recognize those stomps from anywhere. Katya turned towards the girl. "It's Warden Wrath! Hide!" The girl dropped her paper and ran into the empty cell next to yours. You braced yourself for his arrival. The warden slammed the door open.

"I can hear you." He said as he walked towards our cells. "Just what are you fools whispering about?" It was then he noticed the paper the girl dropped. From what you could see, it was a wanted poster for a woman labeled The Owl Lady. He picked it up. "Oh. The Owl Lady." He crushed the poster and turned his hand into a hammer before slamming it onto your cell's bars. "I'll get my hands on her soon enough." He turned to you. "The emperor has finally decided on what to do with you. Make sure you prepare to meet your parents." Your pupils shrank. Tinella Nosa stepped in.
