Chapter Ten : Until We Meet Again

The week was taking what seemed like forever to finally get here. But it finally did. Even thought the week was going by slow as possible, I still had the best week of my life! When I got to school on Tuesday morning, Jason had waited by my locker for me and walked me to my class. I thought that was really sweet. Orlando and Janea got together with the help of Jason too.

"Um, are you Janea?" He asked her on Monday  afternoon. "Umm yeah you're Jason right?" she asked. "Yeah. but I wanted to talk to you about something." He said. Jason was really good at gaining friends so that was a plus. Also, he is really good at getting people to tell him the truth so when he asked, he already knew what the answer was by her facial expressions. "You know my friend Orlando? I see you stare at him all the time. But he wants to know do you like him or something because, he will be more than willing to talk to you." He said. From what he told Orlando and I, she didn't say anything but her eyes flew wide and she just stared at him. "It's fine if you don't wanna tell me. I mean Im not your best friend but, just think about it." He told us after that he got up and came to where Orlando and I along with a few other of our friends were sitting. Then he told Orlando what he had just did. Orlando didn't get mad like I did, he walked over there and BOOM, they went out.

At home Momma seemed really happy now that Daddy was gone. I don't think that any of the girls suffered as bad as Israel did. He cried for the first time on Wednesday night when he noticed that Daddy wouldn't be able to take him to go fishing on every Wednesday, like he did before the divorce. But Momma said that he was coming to get his last box of stuff on Friday and Israel would spend time with him then. Which made him not be so upset about it. 

Thursday we all went off capus to eat lunch together as a double date. Janea was just what Orlando needed too. She was nice and sweet all what Orlando liked her for. But she was a little quiet.

Now here I am, searching through my closet for something to wear for the date that Jason was coming to get me for. Faith was helping me but she wasn't doing a good job at it. 

"Aren't you suppose to be helping me instead of looking at yourself?" I asked with a frustrated sigh. "Oh, My bad." She simply said and stayed put. "Really?" you have got to be playing with me right?" I asked picking up random clothes. "Here just wear this" She said tossing a dress to me and returning back to the mirror. 

Suddenly the doorbell rung. My nerves were and have been under control for the last hour but now,they were back and I was about to hypervenalate. "Lulu, breathe hunny. Its nobody but Jason. Your boyfriend. You know him, he isn't doing that whole romantic setting in a tree crap. " She said stepping to my side with her hand on my back, trying to get me to breathe correctly. "Wheew okayyy! Are you good now? Well even if you aren't put your shoes on and Im going to get the door." She said and left. 

When she came back she was looking horrifed which shot my nerves back to the almost-hypervintalating-state. "Whats wrong?" I asked. "Nothing I just wanted to mess with you." She said and began to laugh. I looked myself over once more in my full length mirror. I had on a mid thigh lenght high-low black dress. The shoes were black flats with a gold stone on the front. I didn't wear much make -up, just eyeliner and mascara. "You look fine, go ahead! He is waiting!" She said manoovering my body to the door of our room. "And you WILL GIVE ME DETAILS" She said before she shut the door in my face. 

I walked downstairs and Jason was standing in the corrider, waiting for me, talking to my Momma. When I got to the third step, he noticed me and his eyes got big. Even though Momma's back was facing me, she noticed his eyes get big ,which made her turn around. "Ohh well look at you! ALL dolled up for this date thing, thats cute!" She squealed. I just stood there and blinked. Not that it embarrased me , because frankly the most embarrasing moment was when Momma gave Jason a quiz bowl about his life , just so we could go out. "Um..okay Momma. Imma go now." I said grabbing Jason's hand and was about to leave but then she made this weird grunting sound. "Huh?" I asked and turned around,my hand still in Jason's. "You have to be back by the time your Daddy come to get you okay?" She said and didn't look to happy about it either.  " Okay Momma what time is that? " I asked so we wouldn't miss it. "Eight thirty." She muttered.  "Okay well , we'll try and make it back in time okay?" I asked. "Alright!" She called over her shouder and walked over to the stairs.
