Your ears are hurting. The sirens that are going off are making you feel nauseous, but you have no clue how to turn them off. You're stuck. Stuck in a room, without even knowing how one can ever leave. Someone put you in there. Unfortunately, you didn't see his face. All you can identify, is the furious tone on which he spoke to you. Almost like a parent scolding their child. And you're still unsure how to feel about his words. Should you be angry? Should you be scared? Should you feel anything at all?

If only you knew. Because the lights in front of your eye are flickering, hurting your head, but you can't close your eye. As though someone's forcing you to keep them open, you simply stare. The words make no sense: they're just random letters pushed together. Though, some do have meaning. There's no way you don't recognize these names, most of whom you've spoken to yesterday, at the DeMeter building.

The door behind you opens: a door of which you weren't even aware of its existence. The man who locked you up here shows his face, but even then it just looks like a bunch of scratches, similar to the face that's often watching you from a corner. The culprit behind the crime this time, though, is a man dressed in a suit, with a blue tie. "I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from, right, Y/N?" he asks, closing the door behind him as the sirens behind you suddenly stop, with the light turning off. Suddenly, you're in complete darkness.

Footsteps scream it out as he's coming closer, while you take a few steps back, but before you know it, he tightly grabs your chin, bringing it closer to his face. His warm breath touches your skin, as your face shifts into that of disgust and discomfort. "You're a danger to yourself and to others. This crazy decision of yours already says enough. Leaving your world behind, just for another?"

You hate his voice. You hate his breath. You hate his dirty, dry fingers on your rotting skin, but you don't dare to tell him. Instead, you find yourself frozen on your place, before he pushes his disgusting lips on yours, at which point you let out a scream and push him away from you, stumbling backwards as a red light from above you lights up, bringing colour to his face. He's pale. Bags are shown under his eyes and there's a dead look in them as well, almost as though he hasn't slept for days, if not years, even though that's impossible.

As soon as the red reminds you of the blood you spilt, you recognize one of the men who did so right beside you. He's just as angry at you as you were at him, when he told you about the unfortunate event that happened to your daughter. There's blood on his hands, though not more than on yours, and none of it can be rubbed off, no matter how hard you try. Your former colleague, whose appearance now also gets lit by a blue light behind you, takes another step forward, furious at your past decision, as you look at the blood that drops down from his fingers: the fingers with which he just touched you.

"Are you seriously going to run away from me again, Y/N?" he asks you antagonistically, as the yellow light is then turned on, and a black substance falls down his cheeks like tears. "You know that you can't, right? Wherever you go, I will. Whatever you do, I'll follow you. Changing worlds won't be enough of an escape for you, and I think you know that very well."

Behind you, the loud sound of an opening portal can be heard, as your vision grows darker and darker. You don't want to go in there, but if that's the only way you'll escape, then that'll be it.

Until someone drags you out.

Someone tightens their grasp on your wrist, throwing you onto the ground out of safety, at which point you feel even less safe.
