I walked into my dorm and layed on my bed. I was starving. I got up and brushed my hair. I left my dorm and down to the little café. Since most dorms didn't have kitchens, they have a little café but with all kinds of food. I bought some strawberry yogurt, a salad, and a bottle of water. I grabbed a spoon and fork, then headed back up to my dorm.
I ate my food on my bed, then decided to go for a run. I put on some sneakers, shorts and a short-sleeve, white, v-neck shirt. I put my hair in a ponytail, and then plugged in my earphones. I had pockets in my shorts so I just put my ipod in my pocket.
I walked out of the building, through the parking lot, and then started running on the sidewalk.
I was a very fast runner as a kid, I won every race at field days. I started running as a stress reliever. Even though I was in third grade, I had a lot of problems in school and at home. My dad died when I was about 8 years old. I was very close to my dad, and when he died I took it really hard. I was in summer school for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade. I missed a lot of school from going to therpists for depression, and I've never gotten over it. To this day, I'm not the same happy girl as I was when I was with my dad. I started getting better when I met Sage and Chelsea. They were bestfriends, and we met at a camp my mother made me go to. Ever since I met them, I've been better, but I still think of my dad all the time. My dad and I used to ride our bikes together, all the time. I haven't been on a bike or rode one since her died. He died in a car accident, from a drunk driver.
I kept running and running, get really tired. My bones started shaking and hurting real bad. I slowed down and started walking. My phone started buzzing.
I pulled it out and looked at the screen, it's Sage. I answered quickly, and I said," Hey Sage!"
" Hey, did I wake you?"
" No, I just went for a run." I turned around to start walking back to the University.
" Okay, it sounded like you were tired. Uh I was wondering if you wanted to go to the beach with Carter and I and Chelsea, Chris and little Aaron!"
" I'd love to!"
" Okay, I'll pick you up at 2."
" Okay, thanks."
" Wait, invite Riter!"
" Noooooo. We broke up. He was cheating on me."
" Why does every guy cheat on you? I'm so sorry."
" It's actually a good thing, I'm going out with Mason Millington."
" Oooooh, Mason Millington. He has a hot name, then invite him."
" Sage, he's a little mad at me right now."
" What did you do?"
" Why is it always me doing something, and I just thought Mason and I were moving a little too fast. I want to take this relationship slow."
" Okay, invite him to the beach."
" No thank you, I'll see you at 2."
She laughed," Okay. Bye."
I put my phone in my pocket and started running.
As I was running, a silver ford pulled over next to me. Mason's car. I stopped and took out my ear plugs. Mason rolled down the
window and said," Hey."
I smiled," Hi."
" Uh, can we talk?"
" Um. I'm on a run right now."
" I know, but about this morning..."
" Mason, it's not a big deal. I just want to take this relationship still, and I was already staying at your house. I guess I just got overwhelmed."
