Help Me Remember

"Who?" Mitsuba looked at Kou with a confused look on his face and Kou returned the look with a sad smile.

"It's someone you wouldn't remember." Kou said, looking away from Mitsuba. Mitsuba softly grabbed his arm as Kou started to walk away. "Well.. how about you help me remember." He said nervously, looking away as Kou looked back at him with wide eyes. Kou gave a toothy grin to the response and took Mitsuba's hand, "I'll do anything to make you remember."

Mitsuba's cheeks grew warm, 'He sure is determined' he thought to himself. Mitsuba looked back at Kou with a soft smile, "You can do your best, Lame Earring." Mitsuba didn't exactly know where the name came from, it just popped in his head and he thought it fit. Kou gave a toothy grin to the name and Mitsuba wondered why it made him so happy to be called something like that. He shook it off and ended up finding Kou's number in his phone. It took place as a random number but it was Kou. Mitsuba made a contact for him and they went on their way, Mitsuba still thinking about how Kou grabbed his hand.

When Mitsuba got home to his dorm he jumped on his mound of pillows and started sqealing into his pillow (kinnie moment for me fr) and he didn't know exactly why. Yashiro, his roommate, heard his squealing and went to check on him.

"You good?" She said with a blank stare. "I'm fine radish senpai" He said sitting up and rolling his eyes. "HEY MY LEGS DON'T LOOK LIKE-" Mitsuba went over and shut the door on her. Mitsuba laid on his bed once more and scrolled through his phone for about 10 minutes, thats when he got a notification. 'Kou <3' the contact read, and Mitsuba got butterflies. Mitsuba scolded himself for having butterflies although that had just "met" a few days before. He opened his texts and saw the message "Hey Mitsu! Wanna hang out tomorrow at ___ Coffee shop??" Mitsuba smiled. "Sure lame earring" Kou just responded with "🙄" to the name.

Since it was almost 10 pm by the time they got done talking, Mitsuba claimed he needed his 'Beauty Sleep', so they both said goodnight and went to bed. But Mitsuba couldn't sleep. 'Who was I to Kou?' He thought to himself, his brain hurt if he was being honest. He eventually let it go and went to sleep once he was able to. Yashiro peaked in to make sure he was asleep, as she was like a big sister to him. He was sound asleep by the time she checked in and she smiled to herself and whispered "Goodnight Mitsuba" and shut the door.

Yashiro slammed the door open and Mitsuba shot up like a bullet. "IT'S THE WEEKENDDDDD" Yashiro exclaimed excitedly. "Yea let me sleep dumbass" Mitsuba retorted laying back down again. "Nope get up we're doing something today" Yashiro said pulliw the blanket off of Mitsuba. "Nene I have plans today" Mitsuba wailed in response. "Oh? A date??" She said with a smug expression, Mitsuba gave her a glare. "No i'm going to a coffee shop with a friend at 10:00 am" he looked at his clock and it read '9:30' he jumped out of bed. He pushed Yashiro out of his room and started getting ready, knowing it was a 15 minute drive to get to the coffee shop in the first place leaving him 15 minutes to get ready. And most of the time he claims he needs his time to get ready but he obviously didn't have that today.

He rushed out of the door and Yashiro waved a goodbye with a smirk on her face, "That boy..." She said out loud to herself and turned away from the door.

Mitsuba made it to the coffee shop just on time and saw Kou inside. Kou waved to him as he walked in and signaled for him to sit across from him. Kou gave him a toothy grin "Soooo its obvious someone woke up late" He said with a smug expression, reaching across the table to fix Mitsuba's hair slightly. A pink hue spread across Mitsuba's cheeks, "Uh, yea" he said with a hint of embarassment in his voice. "Don't worry Mitsu" Kou replied, smiling kindly. Mitsuba just stared at him, cheeks growing more vibrant by the second. Kou noticed this and giggled, he knew how easy it was to make Mitsuba flustered.
