short but im going to make him taller.

"[y/n]!" a familiar voice called my name, accompanied by the sound of frantic knocking on my front door.
"[y/n], come on! i know you're awakeee~!" sally's voice rang out as the knocking only continued, maybe even growing more frantic.

sitting up with a groan, my gaze travelled over to the cute, brightly coloured clock on my equally colourful bedside table. its was 8:07am. most of the other neighbors where awake at this time, but i could never drag myself out of bed so early.

though when you had sally as an alarm clock, always showing up at roughly 8am, your body slowly learnt to wake itself up in time for the frantic knocking. not that i was ever actually physically out of bed in time for sally.

normally the knocking would carry on until i had opened the door, ready to leave to go and hang out with everyone for the day. but today was different. i hadn't even left my bedroom when the knocking stopped and i heard another voice outside.

whoever it was was obviously talking to sally because their tone was so quiet they couldn't have possibly been expecting me to hear. i heard the higher voice of sally reply and the voices went back and forth for a minute or so before i heard nothing.

maybe someone else had needed sally for something?

i just shrugged it off, it would be nice to get ready without having to worry about rushing outside to sally. but then i heard another knock at the door. but it wasnt sally this time. the pace was slower, more relaxed and less frantic. and only three knocks rang out.

picking up a blanket from the end of my bed, i wrapped it around myself before making my way to the door. if it wasn't my normal visitor, i didn't want to keep whoever it was waiting. it would probably only be a brief interaction anyway, right?

i reached my front door and opened it, keeping on hand on the blanket wrapped around me so it didnt fall.

"oh, wally." i hummed with a small smile as i looked up at the taller male, "i take it you're the one who got sally to stop beating my poor door?" my tone was light hearted and amused.

wally simply nodded, "i noticed that she comes here every morning at the same time and she always seems to wake you up." as he spoke, his gaze was locked onto mine. but that was normal. i knew he liked eye contact, especially with me, im not sure why though.

"if only you'd been a few minutes earlier, maybe then i could still be asleep." i chuckled before tilting my head slightly to the side, "anyway, you knocked on my door after getting sally to leave. did you want something?"

wally looked a bit startled for a moment. maybe he'd forgotten why he'd knocked? or maybe he had a reason for knocking but couldn't say for whatever reason?
