Loki
It all feels so long ago...
But somehow, I remember experiences across timelines.
So, let's start with the basics.
We all live, or used to at least, in something called the Multiverse.
Different worlds, or universes, exist, and we all come from one.
But the only thing is that they are not completely different.
Alternate versions of yourself and pretty much everyone else exist in the multiverse.
So that brings us to me. I was somehow brought to a place outside time and space. There is where I learned all this. I remember my experiences there.
But that was an alternate timeline from another one.
In the other timeline, I was not brought to the TVA, but instead I did other things, learned some admittedly valuable lessons from my brother, and helped save Asgard.
The thing is, though, the last thing I remember from that timeline was being killed.
And I am somehow not dead now.
And remember both timelines.
"Ahem, Loki, are you just going to stand there, or would you mind please explaining to us what you know," Vanilla asked, with a hint of impatience.
"Oh, I admit, I was just thinking of everything I would say before I would say it," Loki
Dain coughed, "relatable,"
Loki quickly explained everything he knew, skipping over some parts he doesn't like to remember.
"Aaannd, one last thing!" Loki quickly stated.
"What is it? Dain asked, Vanilla looking tired after the long story.
"I just want to say, Dainsleif and Vanilla, that I sense... something between you two,"
"What do you mean?" Vanilla and Dain quickly responded in unison.
"I dunno. Whatever. Anyways, now that I explained my life story, why don't you tell me yours?" Loki suggested, then Vanilla and Dain both explained where they are from.
"Ahh! I think I finally figured out what I was sensing a minute ago!" Loki exclaimed and everyone else gave him puzzled looks.
"You two are Variants! Think about it! You both are blonde, a blue eye, both were high ranking in a nation you wanted to protect, failed, and blamed yourself for it," Loki paused to take a breath, "Aand your voices sound really similar,"
"Wait, I'm extremely confused. Do you mean that..." Dain started.
"...We are the same person?" Vanilla finished.
"Quite frankly, yes, but not entirely," Loki explained, "You are different versions of the same person, just different depending on the environment aka. your universe,"
"At least you didn't mean what I thought you meant earlier... But still, I guess it makes sense..." Dainsleif commented.
"But still, whatever happened to this world is not natural. So, if what you said is true and that universes collided, then could we find other people?" Pure Vanilla interrupted, trying to lighten the mood.
"Yes," Loki answered.
"Well let's go find them!" Vanilla said excitedly.
"Now now, hold on a minute," Dain interrupted.
"What is it?" Loki asked.
Dainsleif whispered into Vanilla's ear, "How do we know if we can trust this guy?"
"How do I know if I can trust you?" Vanilla whispered back.
"Fair point," Dain said aloud.
"What are you talking about?" Loki asked.
"Well, we were talking about how we know if we could trust you, but then realized, we can't really trust anyone. But given the circumstances, it's really the only option, isn't it?" Dainsleif answered.
"Yeah, that's quite true," Loki told them.
"So should we follow my idea and look for anyone or anything that can aid us?" Vanilla said with a small hint of annoyance.
Dain and Loki nodded in agreement.
"Ok then, onward we go!" Vanilla said, taking leadership.
The group started journeying into the confusing ruins of their former homes.
