Chapter 2

This letter was written before Sharon knew she was going to die and wrote a letter again to her daughter, Alexa. 

Dear Alexandra, 

Hi Alexa. It's Mom. Happy Birthday , my darling. I just want to say how awesome it is been since Andy and I adopted you. I know we have a lot of ups and downs. We still got through them together. I realize that your court appearance it's coming soon. I just want to let you know that I will be there with you. Also, the whole squad will be with you too, so don't be scared. I love you so much, Alexa. 

I know you are not comfortable calling me, Mom, and that's okay with me. I still love you. I love you so much enormously. Always look after yourself, if you need help with anything and I mean big or small. You have the whole team, Andrea, and your father. Always aim high, always dream big. I love you so much, Alexa. If you can't achieve your dreams, ask Andrea. If I were in your shoes, I would approach Andrea. 

Andrea Hobbs can be your go-to person, bestfriend, a mom. If there are thing that you don't want to talk to me about, you can approach Andrea. There are a lot of people that loves you. If it's pertaining to your safety, approach Lt. Provenza, the squad, Andy, and of course, me. I know it's a lot but all of us will be here to help you get through it. The only thing you should be thinking about are finishing school, chess, and your safety all the time. 

I love you, Alexa very much. Very much. I couldn't say it enough. I want you to know sooner or later, you need to forgive your father, Fritz. You need him and he needs you. Your father loves you, you just don't see it because you don't want to see it. Alexa, for my sake do it for me at least. There will be a time that I will not be there beside you and only the people around you are the people you have. 

Life is short. Don't waste it in nonsense. There's no point of getting mad at him. I want you to slowly forgive him, for me. I love you so much, Alexa. I know it's a lot to ask of you.
