Selene's Pov
Music lightly hums in one of my ears that I hum to lightly as I move as fast as my body can without messing anything up.

This is one of those times where time isn't on your side, especially when the county isn't on your side. The piece is basically finished, making me feel almost victorious. I only thrived when that lovely sound greeted my other ear. It's the sound of the police.

Welp time to go. I laugh, throwing my spray cans in my bag and putting that securely on, before taking off. The streets are known in my mind like the back of my hand. They were turning the corner as I ran around the small building. "We see you! Please halt and put your hands up!" They voice through their speakers as if we haven't done this little dance before.

So of course I run down the street until I reach where the neighborhood starts and I start jumping fences. Then after the third one, I climb up onto the roof by using this random wooden crate that's always been there. Then I wait, as they pass by with their obnoxious lights flashing through the hood looking for me. Which is funny when I always stop in the same place. Always gets my heart racing though and I love it. I live for it.

Giggling, I jump down from the roof and run out to where my car is parked. It's only two blocks out. My baby, gleams in the night making me happier. When I get home, all that's there to greet me is my tiny French bulldog, named Squiggles. Forgive me, it's the only thing I could think of because of her hyperactive reactions.

The next day I woke up in a good mood. Why? Because I knew what was going to happen. Bouncing out into the living room, I turn the local news on and listen as I quickly get food for Squiggles.

"Once again for our breaking news this week, we are back with the infamous, Black Phoenix, graffiti pieces. As we could tell with the signature of gold wings at the bottom. This vandalism has been reported all over Outer Banks," the reporter says, but I stop listening after the word vandalism. My work is much better than the old wall that was there.

Seeing the time, a shout leaves my lips and I quickly go get dressed and ready before taking off. Work awaits no one. Especially when your boss is an ass. But I hardly arrive a minute after 10:00 and I still get reprimanded.

"Selene, your late," his annoying loud voice reaches my ears as I step up on the outside bar. He's not even that much older than me. Cameron is his name, and he has the dirty blonde hair to go with it and as I work my ass off. The man drinks all of the alcohol that I make instead of working.

"Sorry, boss. Here's a beer to make up for it," I grit my teeth handing him the first thing I could get my hands on. With a grunt he takes it and leaves. I roll my eyes. So predictable.

A couple of kids around my age come up to the bar. Yes, I'm underage but people on this side of town go unnoticed which is exactly why I work here. With amusement, I watch the blonde come up first. "Just a beer please," he asks plainly trying to look normal. And he did pretty good at it.
