The warrens sat in front of two young girls and another boy most likely the same age. Their technical assistant - Drew, sat at the end of the table with a camera. While Y/N held a note pad as she silently sat next to Lorraine, writing down as much information as she could.

"Scares us just thinking about it." One of the girls spoke,  When you hear it, your gonna think we're insane" She slightly shook her head, glancing towards the two elder people in front of her and her friends.

Ed slightly leaned forward in his chair, resting his chin on his hands which had been balled together tightly. "Try us. Please, from the start."

"It started out small... like a hand or a leg was in a different position." She began to explain. Every now and then, her eyes would dart to the doll next to them. She would look at it for a quick second before looking away as if she had been threatened by it. "Or it's head was looking up instead of down. Then one day, it was in a completely different room. It was moving around by itself."

"Ever think maybe somebody had a key to your apartment, and was just playing a trick on you?" Ed asked the girls, praying that it would be a reasonable explanation. "That's exactly what we thought" the girl nodded her head at him.

"But... never once did we find any sign of intrusion."  The girl with black hair spoke, glancing towards their blonde friend continuously who nodded her head. "And this all led you to believe the doll was haunted?" Lorraine asked.

"Yes. Camilla got in touch with a medium, we learned from her that a 7 year old girl named Annabelle Higgins had died in this apartment. She was lonely and took a liking to my doll. All she wanted was to be friends.

"When we heard this, we felt really sorry for her. I mean we're nurses, we help people. So... we gave her permission to move into the doll." Camilla explained, fiddling with the edge of her skirt she has already regretted the choice that her and her friend had made. She had only now realised how silly it makes them sound.

"Wait. You did what?" Ed asked, flashing his eyes between the four young adults before him. He even looked around to his wife and team is what seemed to be disbelief at what she said. Y/N had paused her writing mid sentence to look at Camilla.

"She wanted to live with us by inhabiting the doll, we said yes." Camilla said, her throat had started to burn with tears of embarrassment of her situation and what she had done. The worried and judging looks of the people in front of her only made it worse. "But then, things got worse."

The two girls continued on to explain as many details as they could about how Annabelle had started to move her arms and legs, drawing on their walls with red crayons, and of course, moving to different rooms. It was obvious that the two were clearly frightened and possibly even  traumatised by the doll.

Camilla also explained that Debbie had thrown the doll in the dumpster outside as soon as Annabelle started to draw on the walls and move around. When asked more about what had happened with Annabelle and why she's still here, they told the paranormal group that Annabelle had knocked on their door and somehow managed to get into a closed room with out anyone seeing or noticing.

The story of course seemed a bit far fetched but it still one of the lower stories and problems they've sealed with before. Y/N's handwriting had started to get sloppy and her hand ached from the amount of details and information she had to write down.

"We are beyond terrified. We don't know what's going on or what to do, can you help us?" Debbie practically begged, searching the room with her now glossy eyes. Ed leaned forward in his chair, breaking the silence of the room. "Yes we can. But firstly, there's no such thing as Annabelle and there never was"

"Ghosts don't possess such power. I think what we have here is something extremely manipulative, it's something in-human." Lorraine spike calmly and softly with the 2 girls being careful not to frighten them or upset them any further.

"It was a big mistake acknowledging this doll. Through that, the inhuman spirit tricked you, you gave it permission to ingest your lives." Ed informed them.

Camilla leaned from ward, looking at Ed confused. "What's an inhuman spirit?" She asked. "It's something that's never walked the earth in human form, it's something demonic." The spines of the girls seemed to shiver and the hair on the back of their necks pricked up when the word 'demonic' was used to describe the doll.

"So the doll was never possessed?" Debbie asked, confused by what was happen wing and why the doll acted as it did. "No, no, it was used as a conduit it was moved around to give teen impression of possession. Demonic spirits don't possess things, they possess people. He wanted to get inside of you." Although Lorraine still spoke calm and informatively, the guts of Debbie and Camilla felt as if they had been pulled out.

✝︎✟✝︎

After the warrens and their team had learned about Annabelle Higgins, the paranormal cases didn't stop. Eventually leading to an exorcism and the death of a young boy who mocked Annabelle, daring her to slash him.

Debbie and Camilla had practically cried of happiness when Ed and Lorraine had taken the raggedy Anne doll back to their museum at home. While driving home, the car had broke down multiple times. thus, leaving the warrens and their team to believe that this was the doing of Annabelle.

The video tape stopped and ended, leaving a big flashing light in its place. "Alright that's good  Drew." the video stopped playing on the wall and the light turned back on, revealing a lot of either confused or concerned faces. Some, however, were none of these emotions and simply believed that they were reading from a script.

"so we got the church to send over a priest to preform a blessing on the house and the occupants. whatever was oppressing that apartment is no longer wth them. any questions?"

multiple hands in the audience shot up from their laps, begging to be chosen by the paranormal investigators who most of them didn't even believe. ED pointed his hand to one of the girls in the audience. "Yes?"

"Where is the doll now?" she called out. "someplace safe." Lorraine reassured the people in the audience, nodding her head slightly. Multiple more hands shot up.

"So what are you guys?" asked a man in the audience. "I mean, what do people call you?" Ed and Lorraine looked at each other in hesitation. No body had ever really called them anything other than stupid or fakes.

"Uh, well we've been called 'demonologists', Thats one name for us. Ghost hunters, Paranormal researchers..." Began ED "kooks." Lorraine added, making the audience laugh. "whackos." Ed smiled.

"But we prefer to be known simply as Ed and Lorraine Warren." Lorraine said stepping out from behind her husband and walking further onto the stage.

Since the 1960's, Ed and Lorraine Warren have been known as the worlds most renowned paranormal investigators. Lorraine is a gifted clairvoyant, while Ed is the only non-ordained demonologist recognised by the Catholic Church.
