Lucy felt her heart race as she held out a hand. She needed to know if she had any powers.

She needed to know...

She closed her eyes and started to focus, she focused on bright things, the sun, the moon, the stars, she thought of life and healing. She opened her eyes and looked at her hand, on the palm of her hand was a little bright and white flame. It immediately went out as she saw it and her thoughts started racing, it wasn't much but it was a start. She already felt exhausted but couldn't hide the smirk growing on her face.

As the days went on she kept reading and learning, but now it was about the Sorcerers of Dark and Light, mostly the Light one as that was her powers. And when her "school" was over she practiced her powers and grew more and more confident in them, she learned more and more and could create more and needed to focus less and less as the days passed.

"Luz honey, your food is here" the voice of her mom broke the thoughts of her power and let the white flame go out. She opened the door to reveal her mom standing with a plate, with a smile on her face.

"Is something wrong honey, you look tired?"

"No... I'm fine mom, it's just... I still miss Shade"

"I'm sorry honey, but it's for your own good, eat something, it should make you feel better." The smile faded a bit but it was still there. Lucy took the plate, and managed a sad smile.

"Thanks mom, I love you. Can you at least tell Shade I said hi and that I miss him"
"Of course honey" her mom left and Lucy closed the door after her. She looked down at her food, chicken. She picked up her fork and knife to start eating when a thought crossed her mind. Healing powers.

She put back the fork and moved the knife to her wrist. She looked down and took a deep breath, she pressed the knife down on her skin and a little drop of blood appeared. She gritted her teeth and prepared herself for the pain.

The girl winced in pain as she dragged the knife over wrist leaving a deep cut. Blood dripped down on the floor, she took another deep breath and focused on the wound and how her arm looked before and how it should look, she opened her eyes again and watched amazed as the wound glowed and stopped bleeding, then how after 10 seconds her arm looked completely fine again, not even a scar to proof that the cut was ever there.

Lucy got up and ran to the toilet, grabbing some toilet paper to clean up the blood on the floor. She cleaned and then ate her food. She couldn't stop smiling about how amazing her powers were.

Shadow was sweating after today's training, he had been training against his dad all day and he may be stronger but his dad was more experienced than him, so it was even and had been for a long time. He just wanted to win this fight so it would be over.

Déjà-vu.

He had thought that before. 5 years ago. That was his last thought before his mind went blank, he was "woken up" by a scream.

He looked down to see his dad with a sword, his sword, through his stomach. Blood running out of him. He backed away again with tears streaming down his face. He had done this, he was a monster. Then his mother came running with Lucy, straight behind her.

His heart jumped as he saw her. She had changed a lot and they had a lot to talk about. He was quickly back to reality as he noticed the blood pool increasing in size. His mother quickly kneeled down at her husband. He opened his mouth and blood dripped down his chin, he then managed to mutter a couple of words out.
