"Overthinking They say-"

Tornadoes swirl within my mind,
Noises echo, my thoughts confined.
Demons dance, a cage of fear,
Dead memories, a river of tears.

Deep sea of thoughts, I cannot escape,
Whirlwinds rage, my mind in shape.
Anxiety grips, a black cape of dread,
Thunder roars, emotions left unsaid.

I share my emotions, and what do they say?
"You're overthinking" as if it's just play.
But they don't see, the storm inside,
The turmoil that I cannot hide.

Like a hurricane, my thoughts are wild,
Overvalued worries, my heart beguiled.
Like a tidal wave, my emotions crash,
And still they say, "You're overthinking, just let it pass".

They don't understand, the battle I face,
The deep sea of thoughts, I cannot replace.
So let the tornadoes rage, let the thunder roar,
I'll weather this storm, with a heart forever sore.

A prisoner of my mind, a slave to my thoughts,
I scream for help, but my cries are lost.
Overthinking they say, but they don't know,
The pain that consumes me, as my mind continues to overflow.

Visions flicker, I pretend to cope,
No one understands, my heart feels like a rope.
Friends mock, but they don't see,
The numbness that surrounds me.
