Lo'ak x reader

Death. ( takes place in the forest )

It's night time when I gain conscience,

I've been woken up by screams of fear, hearing people running and crying. I sit up fast looking at my surroundings, sky people everywhere destroying everything I loved. I'm covered in ash and the smell of the smoke it strong causing me to chock on the air trying my best to get up and find a way away from the terrible scene.

I'm in panic mode wondering where my love Lo'ak is —  if he was alive or dead, I didn't know what these sky people were capable of doing but I knew it wasn't good things.

Running as fast as I can I'm not paying attention to who might be around, suddenly I'm knocked to my knees a sky perosn in a big machine, holding me by my hair dragging  me against the muddy grounds. I scream in pain my hair feeling like it's about to get ripped off, my legs and arms strapped with cuts, I'm bloody and in fear.

He held me up taking a big knife to my head with a devilish smirk on his face, I thought I was gonna be killed right then and there — until a bullet was fired at the man, losing his grasp on my hair I dropped the floor hurting my back and the air knocked out of me.

I chock once again on the air that I'm trying to consume. A Na'vi runs over to me, it's Lo'ak with a gun in his hand, setting it aside on him,  he picks me up running as fast as he can. Lo'ak...I thought you were gone.

He looks at me with a small smile still running on the tree branches leading away from the war. He gets to a tall tree climbing as high as he can trying to be careful with me as I hang on his back.

I could feel there was something wrong, it had to be a broken bone or something of the sort, the pain was to much for me,  I winced as he sat me down in the middle of the tree.

I couldn't leave without seeing you, making sure you were okay ma y/n. I couldn't live with myself knowing I hadn't tried to find you.

Ma Lo'ak, I smiled leaving a tear run down my cheek, I reached for his face holding it in my hands. Brining his head to mine I rested my forehead with his. Breathing in his scent, he was sweaty leaving him smelling like hot mud and rain.

He raised his head up staring int my eyes he noticed my tears which more had come, my eyes reddened and under eyes puffed.

What's is wrong ma y/n? Looking at me with worry, I think I hurt my back I may have broken a bone I don't know. I held my eyes shut trying to hold in my cries of pain, I couldn't let them out or we'd be caught dead.

He brought me into his body holding me tightly, our breathes were fast and our hearts racing from fear still trying to make sure we weren't joined by unwanted guested.

Don't worry y/n I will protect you — always ma y/n always. I cried into his neck wrapping my arms around his stern body holding on tight, oh Lo'ak my Lo'ak I don't wanna lose you. I whispered into him closing my eyes scared to even imagine what I'd do if something bad were to happen to him.

Suddenly he stiffens up his back straight and his eyes shocked, Lo'ak? I look at him with fear he tried speaking but he can't his words start to stutter as he falls back. I looked at him the. His body, I spotted a bullet into his chest, he was shot from the back having the bullet go all the way through him. I looked ahead seeing a sky person laughing and proud.

I immediately jump in front of Lo'ak, I hiss and scream taking Lo'ak's gun in my hand I do not know how to use it but in  that time of day I didn't care. The man was shooting at me, gun fire after fire chasing me like it's tag.

I take Lo'ak holing him tightly in my arm as I hide behind one of the branches trying to shoot back at the man.

I'm stuck with a broken back and making sure My lover doesn't die in my hands, softly laying him down I jump of the tree not caring how badly I'm in pain, I ran to him pouncing on the demon, I bashed the gun into his head knocking him out cold, I took a skinny branch breaking it off and stabbing him in the chest with it. i stab him again and again and again screaming in his dead face  while his blood splattered all over my face.

He needed to die, and I was making sure he did. I ran back to Lo'ak picking him up and trying to find help. Running back to the village I felt something breaking inside me, it was stinging and my breath became thin my back collapses causing me to fall.

Screams of pain echoed out in the forest, I knew then and there we both weren't going to make it out alive, with the gun shoots still going and the smoke clogging up our lungs.

I lay beside Lo'ak, looking into his eyes I grabbed his hand in mine.

Lo'ak....I love you no matter how this ends you will always be mine. Y/n... he was struggling to speak as the blood spilled out of his back. I love you....

I see you ma y/n forever and always.

His eyes slowly closing and his stomach not moving  with air flow I knew he had gone, knowing it was my time I shut my eyes tight as I held his hand in mine, one last year rolled down my cheek.

Gone.

We were with Eywa now, living freely with our ancestors safe and protected.
