(Namjoon's POV)

[The Mortal Realm]

"You're not Jimin..." I mumbled, dazed but quickly regained my composure, making sure not to give away any of my thoughts.

"Sir, you don't want revenge and you do not want to make a deal with a demon," the heavenly creature pushed passed me, her soft wings slightly brushed against my shoulder. Leaving a trace of warmth on the spot. She helped the human to their feet. Jimin, the silver haired angel that I was actually expecting, finally made his appearance and stood next to me. I looked at him in confusion.

"Who's this?" I mouthed to him and he seemed to understand.

"New field angel," he replied.

"New? Why?" my eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Was this girl newly made (however angels are ultimately made)? Or was she just a new recruit of some sort? How young was she? I hope she was at least a hundred years old, but even then that's pretty young.

"Jin hyung got promoted," he explained.

"And she's here because....?"

"I'm training her. Jin made me supervisor," he said proudly.

"No I-I don't! I just want my name to be cleared!" the human declared. He dropped down to his knees in front of her and begged for help.

"I will help you in your endeavor. You don't need to make a pact with this dishonorable demon," she looked back at me in disgust. Although I knew that I was supposed to be offended, I couldn't help but feel butterflies in my stomach. I stared at her in awe as her aura continued to envelope me in a warm, cozy feeling. Lucifer below, who was she?

Why did I feel like I had known her all my life? Why was my heart beating so fast? Even my palms started sweating. As I wiped them against my thighs I felt Jimin elbow my ribs making me look at him. He raised an eyebrow in curiosity and tilted his head.

I only shook my head and turned away hoping that he wouldn't see how red my face had turned.

Calm the fuck down Namjoon. She's just an angel.

"Help how?" the human asked.

"I will be your guardian angel. I will be there to support you on your journey to find who has wronged you. Justice shall be served." she proclaimed which made me roll my eyes. As much as angels and the gods of heaven touted their boner for equity and justice, rarely did they ever actually serve it. She was naïve if she still really believed in all that crap. Jimin wasn't kidding when he said she new.

"Worry no longer human. Go home to rest. I will be there for you tomorrow," she waved her hand over the human's face. The mortal creature's eyes glazed over and they nodded before rushing off the roof. The angel then gave a smug look before strutting towards me.

"Victory is mine tonight, demon,"

"Right," I said flatly then checked my watch for the time. Surprisingly it was only eight at night, "Jimin, wanna grab some dinner? I heard there's a new ramen restaurant around the corner that's supposed to be good."

"Oh?" Jimin's eyebrows lifted up in curiosity, "Who recommended it?"

"Yoongi hyung was telling me about it the other night. He won't shut up about it so I might as well try it since I'm in the area anyway."

"Ramen on a night like this does sound tempting..." Jimin started walking with me, "Weird that he didn't mention it to me though."

"Wait! Minnie!" the girl called out and grabbed his wrist, "We still have other souls to save."
