It was a week after school got out, Lola and I just graduated 6th grade and I was glad to get out of that school. It was kind of rundown, old, and deffiently not a priority to the district.
It was getting late, Lola and I met up at the park and I sat down on the swings.
"I won't miss that prison," Lola sighed as she sat down next to me.
"I won't either," I laughed, "What are your plans tomorrow?"
"Probably chores. You can come over for the entire day, though. Mama won't mind" Lola said as the played with her bright red hair. Her freckles were splattered all over her face and it was one of my favorite things about her.
"I probably will. Sue and Vincent won't miss me. I can even help out with the chores."
"You don't have to. Honestly. I just have to clean the dishes since our stupid dishwasher broke, and clean my room. Can I change the subject?" Lola chewed her lip
"Of course, you don't have to ask for permission."
"Will middle school ruin our friendship?" Lola turned towards me
Friend zone. Ouch. Its fine, she doesn't know I liked her anyways. I made a stupid face that made her laugh, "It better not, your my only friend and I'll be lonely if it ruins it."
"I doubt you'll be lonely. I bet you'll be so popular, all the guys will want to be your friend"
"I guess then, well, I... I dont know what I'd do" I chuckle
We were silent for awhile, soaking in the fact that we were actually done with elementary. I got up and swung on the monkey bars like I had many many times before. I swung my legs up onto another bar and hung upside down.
"I wish I were Spiderman. Then all my problems would go away" I sigh
"Uhhhhhhhhh... I don't think that's how it works. Your problems would probably double" Lola giggled
"I guess..."

It was our first day of middle school. I was trying to find room 891. Lola just got back from a trip. And since I didn't have a ride, I didn't go to the school orientation.
The 5 minuets warning bell rang. I think I went into the 9th grade hallway. This school was a maze. I went up to a group of girls.
"Hel-" I started
"Is that little sevie trying to talk to us" a girl in a very short shirt laughed
"Little sevie? Really? Do you always have to be that rude? Oh wait. It's probably your personality. Because when a 'little sevie' asks for your help you have to make them feel worse than they already feel. I have been in this hellhole for 7 minuets now and I already have it. Have half a heart and tell me where room 891 is." I snapped
"Mira? Are you gonna let that kid talk back to you?" Another girl in the group asked.
Mira gave me a dirty look, "Shut up Lorena. Okay little sevie. This is how this school works. There are little sevies who are very annoying and awkward. Then there are forgotten 8th graders. Then the bosses of the school are the 9th graders. In every grade there are the gamers, the emos, the furries, the big friend groups, the complete and utter nerds. Then there are the cool kids, they are on their own level above everyone else. Now scamper along or else."
I walked off mumbling right as the late bell rang. Great. I'm late on my first day. After like 5 more minuets I finally found my class. My first period was coding, it was a mix class of all the grades.
"You're late Mr. Everett Loundosskii." Mr. Fannez said. Mr. Fannez was an old man but he was quite build. It was scary.
"How do you know my name?" I asked
"All the guys are here. You and Miss Mira are the only ones that aren't. Now your here so we're waiting for Miss Mira."
Mira sashayed in. I had a class with the devil.
