Chp.7

-AUTHOR's POV-

Meanwhile, in the city, Himeno was alone, patrolling as she began thinking about (YN) in her mind lately...

Himeno: Wonder how he's holding up during his first day, especially with Aki.

Then, she hears...

(YN): Himeno!

Himeno: Huh? (YN), what-

She turns and to see him holding Aki onto his arms as he seems to be in pain and gasping...

Himeno: What in the-what happen??!

(YN): Oh...well Uh...*Come on, think of something (YN)! ....Aha!* Here's what happen, we encountered this devil, right? This devil happens to be known as rhe " The Nutsack Devil"! It appeared and started punching Aki's balls like a maniac and I stopped it!

Aki: Oh G-Give..me a break..you're really gonna believe him, Himeno?

Himeno stood quiet, as she then chuckles and laughs off from it...

Himeno: Hahaha!! Haha, oh man! That's a good one (YN), but serious, what happen?

(YN) then stares at Aki, as he then shoved him away...

(YN): Why don't you ask him yourself? ...I'm going for a walk.

Himeno: Huh? (YN) wait.

(YN) started walking away with his hands in his pockets as Himeno picks Aki up on the floor...

Himeno: Okay, tell me, what happen?

Aki: ...

Himeno: Aki.

Aki: ..Was it right for you to recruit him?

Himeno: What??

Aki: Why did you even brought him with you here?

Himeno: ...Is that a problem?

Aki: ..And what if it is?

Himeno stood quiet, as she then pulls out a cig, and lights it up and smokes..

Himeno: Aki...I had a reason to bring him with me. The way I see it, he has it rough, I can see it in his eyes.

Aki: ...

Himeno: I can tell he didn't had a good life on him, the fact I can straight up tell he was raised in the woods, no parents, family, siblings, anything at all...all he had was one friend, and that friend was the bear devil, and he is now not with him out here, but inside of him, as his heart. And once he told me that he wanted to keep on living his...it got me. I don't know why, but...it just got me. Besides, knowing that he's the bear devil, he didn't killed us, cause he knew we aren't bad people, and that tells me he has a good heart on him...so I said to myself "Why not bring him with me and have him live his life on the real world, where can experience everything and enjoy it" and he is.

Aki: ...

Himeno: So, you understand where I'm getting at?

Aki: ...I Guess, Yeah.

Himeno gently smiles and approaches to Aki...

Himeno: Listen Aki...don't take it the wrong way, okay? Just cause I have him living with me, doesn't mean he's gonna try and attack me from behind or leave me.

Aki: ...But, the way I see it, he seems to like you, he's been talking about you a lot.

Himeno: *He has?!* O-Oh, well you know how boys can easily fall in love, like him heh. But look, just try and get along with each other, alright?

Aki: ...I'll try.

Himeno: Good, now let's go find him.

Later on, at Himeno's apartment, (YN) was in the living room, laying down on the couch and to think off how Aki was being a total ass towards him...

(YN): Tch, stupid Aki. Who the hell he thinks he is? Trying to ruin my life...well at least I gave him my receipt!

Then, he began thinking of Himeno...

(YN): Himeno...man, that chick is totally smoking! And not just that...she's been so nice to me since the day she took me with her, she bought me food, let me live in her home, use her bathroom, and to sleep here too! She's so awesome...I'm happy I met her.

Then, he heard the door open and shut, and to see Himeno appearing...

(YN): Oh hey Himeno!

And Aki too...

(YN): Oh...hey Aki.

Aki: ...

Himeno: Now (YN), Aki here didn't mean to hurt you or your feelings, right Aki?

Aki: ...Right.

Himeno: He just came off on the wrong page that's all.

(YN): Wait, wrong page?

Himeno: Heh, you know like, he thought you might've ran away from me, use me or try to attack me from behind,  it it's not all true, and I know you wouldn't.

(YN): ...of course not.

Himeno: See, Aki?

Aki: ..Alright, guess I was wrong then.

Himeno: Great. Now, how about the both of you go back patrolling, alright?

Aki: Okay, let's go you.

As Aki was about to leave the apartment, he and Himeno realize (YN) stood there quiet, head down...

Himeno: (YN)? ..everything alright?

(YN): Huh? O-Oh, yeah sure. I-I'm fine. Right behind you.

Aki: Mm.

As (YN) goes with Aki, Himeno stops him for a sec, by grabbing his arm and Himeno starring at (YN) directly to his eyes...

Himeno: Don't you worry, we'll work together next time, okay?

(YN): *gently smiles* S-Sure.

Himeno: Good.

She slowly lets go of his hand as he goes off with Aki and shuts the door behind...

Outside the building, Aki and (YN) were walking down and to patrol and do their job...(Yn) was still quiet, and to remember what Himeno said about what Aki thought of him "trying to use Himeno" "Attack her from behind"...

(YN) Mind: Why would he think I would do that to Himeno? Of course I won't do such thing to a nice smoking hot chick like Himeno, no way in hell...but, does SHE think of that too?? ...does she think I ainr useful for her? ...

Aki: Hey.

(YN): ..What.

Aki: ...You're quiet, what's going on?

(YN): ...Nothing. Well...tell me if you finally decide to talk to me.

Aki: What is it?

(YN): ...Does Himeno think I'd betrayed her?

Aki: If you're that unsure, I say give up on her. You are a devil after all, but at least be grateful she recruited you as your friend and partner.

(YN): So then...she likes me?

Aki: ...That should go without saying, if that's how you wanna see it, I don't care. How can she think like that when she cares for me, sees me as her useful partner. If she sees you that way as well...then there is no problem at all.

(YN) began to think of Himeno, the way she's been treating him, how she looks at him, and how she behaves towards him...he smiles and gently blushes...

(YN): Yeah, she's nice and cool...I hope I get to lay down on her laps again.

Aki: ...HUUUH!?!?!!!?!
