LIANI I could feel the pain in my chest rising as I watch this she-wolf flaunt herself all between my mate's legs and he was just sitting there. Drinking his glass of liquor as if it doesn't bother him at all that another woman is that close to him. Iris was howling in my head trying to push forward to snatch this she-wolf by her hair for being this close to our mate. I could feel something else aside from Iris rising up within me. My entire body was pulsing as I let out a low growl. It wasn't until he heard my growl that everyone went dead silent and looked at me. The she-wolf looked at me and smirked which made me growl a bit louder. Auburon sat back with his eyes wide. I saw them flicker between red and brown as he was fighting with his wolf. I quickly composed myself and saw a guy who looked as if he was part of Auburon's guard. I could tell that he was attracted to me. If Auburon thought he was going to get the best of me then he was wrong. The last thing I'll allow is for a man to reel me in and push me out as he pleases. If he wanted to entertain other women, then game on. I walked over to the guard and gently rubbed my hand across his back. He was a pretty attractive guy. He had bright light brown eyes, tanned skin, and short black hair. His eyebrows were extremely bushy and his chin was chiseled. "Whatcha' drinkin'?" I ask seductively. I see him gulp before I grab his glass of whatever he was drinking and take a sip. "Mmm, tequila," I say with a smile on my face. "I looove tequila," I say slowly getting a little closer to his face. I could feel Auburon's eyes burning into my back, but why should I care? Wasn't another she-wolf in his face? I could tell the guy was a little shy. Maybe he wasn't shy but I made him feel that way. "What's your name?" I ask. "J-Jordan" he stutters out. "Well Jordan, it seems that I've drunk all your tequila. We should get some more." I say as I gently rub my hand down the collar of his shirt with a smirk on my face. It wasn't until Jordan wrapped his arm around my waist and firmly pulled me closer to him that I heard Auburon growl. ***AUBURON When I got to the palace's bar there were a few of our guards that were off duty for the night and a couple of female lycans that worked here at the palace. It annoyed me that Ashli was one of them along with her friend who I really think is smarter than her. It's not that Ashli is ugly, she is attractive. She was about five foot six, with dark curly hair and full lips. She has had some work done but that's her choice. I mind-linked the twins and Dorian to come down and have a drink with me. After all, I have good news to tell them. It wasn't long before Liani came back to my mind. When I was about eighteen I remember going out and seeing that necklace. I immediately knew that I wanted to save it for my mate. So, when I heard it was her birthday I thought that I should gift it to her. I wondered if she has seen it yet or if she likes it.After a while, Dorian and the twins joined me, and shortly after Ashli made her way toward me. Goddess, the clothes she wears just let me know that she's here to seduce me and nothing more. The dress she wore was light pink and skin-tight. Her chest was about to fall out of her dress if she leaned over just a little. But, there was a time when I thought about courting her because I hadn't found my mate yet. But, we never had anything in common outside of the fact that my father and hers were friends. My mother never cared for her or her mother. If you let my mom tell it, "they're just thirsty for power and wealth." I chuckle at the thought of her saying it to us. "Auburooooon," Ashli says, clearly tipsy from the drinks she had before I came in here. She stood a little too close for Carro's and I's liking. Finding her way between my legs leaning over the bar table with her left palm on my thigh and her right palm on the table. "Hi, your highness," she says whispering slowly in my ear. Goddess, I just wanted her out of my face. I could tell that Dorian and the twins were annoyed that I called them here just to have Ashli in my face and mess up our time. I also fought with Carro to not take over as he was pissed another female was in our face and it wasn't our mate."Ashli, if you're here to seduce Aubie then please just leave. You're embarrassing yourself," says Finn. She glares at him and then rolls her eyes. "Auburon, I missed you today," she said poking her lip out as if she was a child and playing with my tie. I say nothing, I just take a sip of my whiskey. I could smell the beautiful scent of vanilla and cinnamon getting closer to me. "Mate's not going to like this," says Carro. I roll my eyes in annoyance and push Carro to the back of my mind. This shall be fun. I thought. Until it wasn't. I could feel her pain when she saw Ashli standing this close to me, whispering a bunch of nothing into my ear. There was a part of me that wanted to see what my mate would do. I saw that Ashli looked back at her and smirked. But it wasn't until I felt my mate's pain that I wanted to run over and whisk her away. But, she did something I never expected. She went and flirted with one of my guards. This angered both Carro and me. Why the hell would she not rip this she-wolf away from me and make her claim? I thought. Why would she go to another lycan? Goddess, I wanted her to rub her hands on me the way she did him. I wanted her to take a sip of my glass, although she said she preferred tequila and I drink whiskey. I knew that Liani could feel me staring into her as my anger radiated off me and I knew that the small little guard wouldn't be able to handle my mate even if he tried. But what surprised me the most was that he did try. When he pulled Liani closer to him with his hands wrapped around her waist, I lost it. Both Carro and I were furious. How dare he touch what was mine? Did he not know that I could tear him apart with as so much as a flick of a wrist? I sternly pushed Ashli away from me and I heard Kayden say "uh-oh" with amusement in his voice. I walked across the small bar within two steps and yanked his hand away from my mate. My eyes flashed red as I grabbed his hand and I could hear his bones crushing from how hard I was holding on to him. "LET HIM GO," yelled Liani. So, I did. I chucked his ass all the way across the bar and was satisfied when he fell into a table and chairs breaking them on his way down. "I'll deal with you later," I say to the confused lycan laying on the floor and I pulled Liani out of there. I didn't stop until I reached her room. I opened the door angrily and pulled her inside with me. "WHY DID YOU LET HIM TOUCH YOU? YOU ARE MINE!" I declare. My eyes are flashing red as Carro is fighting me for control. But what took me by surprise was that she wasn't afraid of me. I am the strongest lycan walking this earth, stronger than my father and his. "Oh, you mean the way you let that hussy touch you?" she hissed at me in return. While she was right, my anger wouldn't let me reason with her. "YOU ARE MINE!" I yell again."You said that already," she says turning her back to me. She makes her way to the door that I know leads to the bathroom and I follow her in there. Her eyes were flickering purple and I can see a hint of sadness in them as she faces the mirror with her hands gripping the counter. "Why did you gift this to me, if you were just going to have another she-wolf touching you an hour later?" she says with pain in her voice. I step to walk closer to her but before I do she spins around and pokes her tiny finger into my chest. "NO!" You don't get to do this hot and cold thing. If you want to entertain other she-wolves, then do so! But, leave me out of it. Go ahead and reject me now." she states.
