AUBURON Before I could even say anything, Carro pushed forward and said 'NO!' as he whimpered. Goddess, I have the strongest lycan known to man and here he was whimpering at the thought of losing his mate. But, I can't say that it also didn't pain me that she would suggest a rejection. Once I got control of my wolf I said 'Not going to happen.' This seemed to make her furious. "WHY NOT?" she yelled. I quickly pulled her towards me and wrapped her in my arms, snuggling my face into her neck, and said "Because you are mine." I could feel her wolf submit to me and her body relaxing in my arms. I ran my hands down her back until I reached her posterior. I gripped it firmly and heard her let out a soft moan at my touch. "No one else can touch what is fine, do you got that?" I whisper as I bring my face to her ear and bite it softly. I hear her say nothing so I look up at her releasing her from my touch just a little bit, and she stares at me in return. "Then, no one can touch what is mine," she said as she dragged her hands up my thigh until they rested on the part that was hardening in my pants. I let out a soft growl. "If I am yours, then you are mine," she said rubbing her hand up and down. "Then, I am yours," I say. "Good. Now that we got that settled, how about we have a conversation like normal people?" she said as she stopped rubbing me and turned on her heels to leave the bathroom. Goddess. I needed a minute to gather myself as I felt neglected at the loss of her touch. "Give me a second," I say groaning as I try to pull myself together. I heard her laugh before she said "Okay, your highness," and walked out. ***LIANI I had to hurry and get out of the bathroom with Auburon because once I felt how big he was it made me nervous. Iris was all googly-eyed in my head at the thought of our mate taking us right then and there. But, evidently, I was still pissed about earlier, and I think instead of us rushing to have sex, we should talk. Right? We should get to know each other. When Auburon walked back into my room, I blushed at the sight of him. He was still in his suit from the ball except his chest was poking through from his shirt as some of his buttons were undone. He scratched his chin and said, "So mate, what is it that you want to talk about?" The way he said mate made me gulp as I remember I'm really mated to the future lycan king. "Who was that she-wolf?" I ask. I probably sounded insecure or even jealous. But, if we were going to move forward I needed to know that there is nothing I need to worry about with her. He sighed as he sat next to me on the bed and put my legs over his as my back was against the headboard. "Her name is Ashli. Her father is one of the wealthiest men in our kingdom." says before pausing. Shit, this girl comes from money. I think to myself. "I have never once been interested in her as I know she's only after my power. Being mated to me comes with a lot of perks." I roll my eyes at that statement as I really don't care for its 'perks'. I'm just grateful to have found my mate even though he's a bigheaded, stubborn, asshole. "At one point, I was going to court her," Auburon said which snapped me out of my thoughts. I glared at him and he chuckled. "I didn't think I was going to find you," he said. "And after what happened to Layla, I wasn't even focused on finding a mate. It angered me that my parents were throwing a ball just so I could find you," he said. Iris whined in my head at the fact that Auburon didn't want to find us. I look down and begin fiddling with my fingers as that statement hurt me as well. "Hey," he said. Grabbing my chin and lifting my gaze to meet his. "I have been consumed in my anger for a long time now. I really don't know how to be a good mate. But, I will try. I promise you that I will try." he says. I blush at his words. "I was also consumed in my anger for a long time," I say. He looks at me with curiosity in his eyes. "I still am," I say. "Losing my dad I- it's like when he died, a part of me died too. I became enraged and I blamed myself for his death. Iris sensed something was wrong! But we ignored it! We pushed it to the side! We blindly trusted." I say as tears begin to fall down my cheeks. But, as soon as the tears fell Auburon wiped them away. "Come here," he says bringing me closer to him. I snuggle into his chest as I let the tears fall from my eyes. Iris purred at the scent of our mate and the way he ran his finger through my hair. Once I gathered myself I looked up at him and said "I won't give up, if you don't.""I don't think I could give up even if I wanted to," he says. He lays his head on top of mine and says "Just be patient with me." "I will as long as you're patient with me too." He nods and places a kiss on my forehead. "Don't ever let ANY she-wolf touch you again," I say with a smile trying to lighten the mood. "Well, you better not try to seduce any more of my men," he says pulling me on top of him with my legs cradling the sides of his legs. "Mmm, were you jealous, my prince?" I say while smirking. "Of that wimp? Pfffft. As if. But you.. my little hybrid, were definitely jealous," he says. "Oh, I wanted to grab that she-wolf by her hair and throw her halfway around the world," I say jokingly. He laughs at my joke and Iris purrs in response. "I'm serious!" I say. "The bitch even smirked at me! Does she not know who I am?" I say again, still joking. "No my little hybrid, but everyone will know who you are soon," he says before kissing me on my forehead. ***LIANII woke up from having the best sleep of my life as Auburon and I cuddled the entire night. I felt... safe. Ever since my father's passing, I haven't been able to sleep well knowing that my aunt is lurking somewhere in the shadows, but last night I slept amazingly, and it was all because Auburon was there. I hurriedly got dressed as I knew my mom was going to be back and we were going to attempt to break the curse that was placed on her. As soon as I walked out the door I saw Auburon making his way to me while fixing the cuff links on his shirt. I walk towards him trying not to blush. When we're finally a few inches apart he kisses my forehead and says "Good morning beautiful." "Good morning," I say. "How did you sleep?" "Honestly? I slept through the entire night," he says. I smile at his words but my heart aches at the way that we share similar pain, that he too hasn't slept well until our first night together. "Me too," I say shyly. He looks at me as if he knows I have also experienced restless nights." He pulls me into a hug and says "Let's go eat." "Ooooh, are there going to be waffles?" I ask excitedly. "There's going to be whatever your heart desires. If there are no waffles, best believe we will get you some." He says as he places his arm around my shoulders and leads us downstairs. As we walked into the dining hall, all eyes were on us. All of Auburon's family was there. His mom, dad, and twin brothers. But Aella was also there which made me extremely happy. I bow my head to the king and queen before running over and hugging Aella. "OH MY GOODNESS! I'm so glad you're here." Aella says. "Me too," I say. "So which one of the twins is yours?" I say whispering although with everyone's heightened hearing I'm pretty sure they heard me. "Well it's sure not me." said the twin sitting across the table. The other twin rolled his eyes and Aella snickered at his comment. "Liani, this is Prince Kayden. My mate," she says proudly. I bow to Prince Kayden and say "My prince." He stands up and says "Oh please, you're going to be the queen one day, you don't have to bow to me," right before he pulls me into a tight hug. I heard Auburon growl and Kayden threw his hands up as a form of surrender. I blush at my jealous mate as do his parents. The other twin, Prince Finn says "My future queen." as he bows to me and kisses my hand. Auburon growled even louder this time and I turned to face him as I whisper "I am yours," and smile shyly. I could feel him relax but before his wolf could completely submit to my words Finn speaks "Aubie, please." he says smirking at him and holding his hand up to his face. I giggle at the nickname and before I know it Auburon glares at me and I press my lips in a straight line trying to hold back my giggles. "Alright boys, enough," says Queen Emris with a smirk on her face that lets me know she also found the prince's arguing amusing. "Liani, your mother should be here shortly. Alpha Luke has contacted me and has said that they were on their way to the palace." says King Daniel. "Okay," I say shyly as Auburon grabs me by my hand and leads us to our seats. Auburon didn't want to let me go but I needed my hand to eat, so instead, he placed his hand on my thigh and rubbed small circles on it.*** When my mother and Alpha Luke finally arrived Demetri was with them which made me a bit nervous as his past actions of kissing me on the forehead didn't go unnoticed. My mom came and hugged me as Alpha Luke hugged Aella. "Your Highness," my mom says bowing before Auburon. "Please Maya, we can drop the formalities, we will be family after all," he responded. She looked at me then back at Auburon and then her gaze dropped to our hands as they were holding each other. I could tell she was holding back a smirk and said "Very well." "Hi Li," says Demetri. "Hey D," I say. He walked closer attempting to hug me and Auburon growled at him. Demetri didn't flinch, however, he did glare back at Auburon. While my mom gave the king and queen a run down of what was going to happen as we broke the magic from Layla, I couldn't help but feel Demetri's gaze on me the entire time. I think Auburon noticed this as well as he stared him down the entire time. I simply squeezed Auburon's hand in reassurance. After a while, it was time to break this curse from Princess Layla.
