Chapter 2: The Taking

Arriola's POV:

*****BEEEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP********

Oh shoot! It's 9:03 am, I've already started my streak of being late to work! Quickly putting together an outfit for work, I hurriedly go to work. Wish me luck, it's my first day ever of working as the PA for the prettiest man in the world. 

_____30 minutes later_____

Rushing up to Mr. Knight's office with his coffee in his hand, I open the door.

"Baby, it's your first day of work and you're already late! I think that deserves a little punishment, does it not?" his deep voice rumbles. 

"Mr. Knight, I'm incredibly sorry! Please don't fire me, I will do anything for you!" I quickly blurt out. 

Chuckling, the male walks up to me and tucks in stray hair behind my ear. Ugh, he's so dreamy I wish he kis- wait what! I suddenly feel his lips on mine. I quickly push him.

"What are you doing! That's so inappropriate..." 

"But you liked it, no? It's okay baby, take your time. Go, hurry along now. Do some work for me, k?" he smiled, showing off his pretty dimples.

I quickly ran off. Aw shucks, why do I keep doing that! Honestly, I might have met him just yesterday, but I'm quickly starting to like him... why? Quite frankly, I got to stop this! Sitting on my chair I get straight to work. It's going to be a long day anyways.

Xavier's POV:

Boy oh boy, that was satisfying. After my little baby left my office yesterday, I spent the whole entire rest of my day researching about. She has no friends, never had a boyfriend, and is an orphan! How good is that! Researching more and more about her, I realized something. Forget about this bet, this girl is too good to be taken away by some little puny boy that will use her! She has to be mine and it is settled. I won't take no for an answer.

Hurrying downstairs to where Jace was, I give him the news. 

"Jace, buddy, forget about the bet. I don't care about it, I want her to be mine for real! Also, I already kissed her so I feel as though you were robbed because that was simply, way too easy." I flashed him my infamous smile. 

"Dude, come on now. I really wanted her! I guess I'll ba-" Jace came to an abrupt stop.

Wondering why he stopped so suddenly, I turned around to where he was looking . Shit! My little rabbit was staring, her mouth agape. She quickly turned away and started to run for the exits while sobbing. No. There's no way I'll let her escape my arms that easily!

Running up to her and catching her in my arms, I quickly secured the bag. 

"Where do you think you're going little rabbit?"

"W-Why is everyone always just using me? I don't want to be yours, I quit! No way in hell I'll be with a-a- hooligan!" she sobs. 

Quietly laughing in my head, a hooligan? This baby thinks she can make me change my mind. No. Way. And using? When I have her, everyone will treat her like the royalty she is.

"Baby girl, I don't want to use you! I'm sorry about the bet, it was before I even knew you! Please give a chance, I promise I will show you how good I am and how much I lo-like you! I will treat you like the queen you are, just please give me a chance...have dinner with me this night" I know she has attachment issues, but she will definitely fall into my trap of love. 

Looking like she was contemplating, she finally answered. "Fine, but if you hurt me in any way, just know that I will leave right away!" 

Well, she definitely doesn't know what's stored for her. I will never hurt her, after this night. Some things are needed, and this definitely is a must. Just you wait, baby...

______At his house, night ______

Arriola's POV:

We're at his house eating the most scrumptious food I've ever eaten. This man cooks, I repeat cooks! 

"How was the food, my little rabbit?"

"Scrumptious! I mean, it was good, I guess. Where did you learn how to cook like this?" I replied.

"My mother taught me, it always comes in handy. I mean, if a girl comes this way, I'll be able to amaze her right?" he smiled.

Rolling my eyes, I think about how my life would be if I was with Xavier. Maybe my life would be better? I don't know. 

After a few minutes of talking I start feeling sleepy and drowsy. What's happening? I literally had 9 hours of sleep today and it's only 9 pm! 

"Hey Mr. Knight, I feel a little drowsy, please take me back home. Thank you for the food!"

"Baby, you're already at home! Also, no need to call me Mr. Knight, Xavier is just fine. Or maybe you could give me a nickname?" he stared at me with longing for something... what is it? 

Wait, what the hell did he just say?! 

My eyes, drooping more and more I say, "What are you talking about Mr. Knight, take me home I don't feel comfortable anymore!"

"Well my baby, you better get comfy, because this is where you'll be staying for the rest of your life! With me of course! We're going to have the best life ever, now that I've got you! Sleep tight, little rabbit. I'll be right beside you!" he said with a obsessive gleam to his eyes.

With only a few seconds to register what he said, I felt the darkness fall over me. 

____15 minutes later____

Xavier's POV:

Finally, my little baby is right where she belongs. In my bed, right next to me. It seems as though the little rabbit did not really like what I was doing to her. Oh well, she will have to learn to love me, or else I might just have to lock her in my room. I have the perfect plan, I can't live without her, so I will make it so that she won't be able to live without me! How good is that? The little baby will depend on me so much she'll have no choice but to love me back! 

Going into the bathroom, I go on to take a shower. Thinking about all the events that happened today, I remember something. My twin brother Xander is coming tomorrow! Good, I need my lil bro so that I can box with him. Xander always shares, but I'm starting to wonder, should I share my girl with him? Maybe Xander can help me to get the little rabbit on our side and start loving. 

It's settled then. Xander is going to help me get my baby to love me. Exiting the shower, I put on a boxer and go to rest right next to Ari. Oh... that was the best sleep I've had in a few years. I can't wait to mold this little baby right into a loving little Ari.

Hey guys! Double Update :))) I know these chapters are hella bad, but trust me they will get better over time (I hope) 

Anyways, what did you guys think about Xavier's sudden change from bet mode to obsessive mode? Do you guys think Xavier will keep his promise of never hurting Arriola? 

A new character was introduced, Xander. I know he seems a little bland right now, but just trust, he's going to play a VERY important role throughout the story.
