Prolouge: Ignited Plans

"Ha ha ha!" Someone laughs, "With this, I can get rid of that hedgehog once and for all." This is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, a.k.a Dr. Eggman. He walks down a futuristic hallway, while leaning forward with his hands behind his back. There is a large screen on one wall, displaying images of the different parts of the world, showing it's inhabitants as they move about their daily lives, doing their business. "This being, no, this Creature," Eggman corrects himself, "this will finally kill that rodent and Eggman Land will be made a reality!" The Creature sits in a test tube, unconscious, Eggman places his hand on the tube.

"I will conquer the world and live my best life, and nobody will ever stop me!!" Eggman smiles and his expression turns maniacal. This smile scares even the doctor himself. "All thanks to these seven Chaos Emeralds..." He reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a black crystal with an intricate gold design on it. The crystal shines under a light bulb, making it shine more brightly than before. "I was able to make this." The mad man smiles even more as he places the stone on a pedestal next to The Creature. "You see, I have been working hard on perfecting this crystal, it's so special, it's so powerful..." Eggman places both hands on the pedestal and leans over the glass tube. His eyes are filled with pure happiness and joy at the idea of conquering the world. "Now all we have to do," Eggman states, "is kill the hedgehog."
