"Bubba! Bubba!" A young girl screamed as she ran towards me. "Hey Katie, how was school?" Katie is my younger sister who had just returned off the bus from 1st grade. "It was great! We made glitter crafts!" She said flailing her hands covered in shiny pink glitter everywhere as I stared at her mortified. "Katie, don't even THINK about coming near me with those hands of yours." I spoke, shuddering. Katie laughed maniacally and dashed towards me with her hands stretched outwards. I screamed the most high pitched scream I had ever screamed as I immediately bolted up the stairs and into the bathroom as I locked it. Ugh how I hate glitter, just the feeling of it on my skin, and the way it spreads but never goes away. I. Hate. Glitter.
Katie eventually gave up in her pursuit quickly after my mom saw her and the situation unfolding as she stepped through the door. She quickly swooped her up, grabbing her wrists, and carried her to the kitchen sink where she tried her very best to get rid of the glitter, which was impossible, but she still tried. Sighing a breath of relief I walked to my bedroom, shut the door, and flopped on my bed. Yep, that's my family alright, and as nice as they seem we're not the most perfect family, but I guess that doesn't matter right now. Sighing, I looked around my room for something to do, anything to keep me occupied. Alas, i could find nothing so I ended up grabbing my phone as per usual and scrolled through my for you page. Suddenly the screen glitched and an ad popped up on my phone. "Hello, Daniel." The screen read. Chills ran down my spine as I tapped the screen and suddenly an app link popped up with the words "recommended for you" next to the link. Sighing I tapped the link and it led me to an app called "task master." What the heck...
I began to read the details which continue to say: "an app to cure boredom, step out of your comfort zone, have fun, try new things, meet new people!" And in very small red font it said "don't disobey."
I began contemplating if I should download this or not. Was it sketchy? Yes. Was it interesting? Heck yes. Is this the perfect intro to a horror movie? Also yes.
As I let my curiosity get the best of me, I downloaded the app and waited for the download to complete.
