Jade Benz- Fourth year
 
IT WAS HARD TO BE A HALF-BLOOD IN SLYTHERIN. They had practically all pure bloods, until I came along. I go by many names, Jade, Darling, Benz but also filthy half blood. Sometimes, I couldn't help but get mad at these remarks, I was always the type of girl who had a nice temper and smiled through hard times, but what they said really hurt me.

  They didn't know my dad left my mum after he thought muggles were "not gifted". The only person I'm part friends with in Slytherin is Daphne Greengrass. She's the only person who tolerates me, and I couldn't be more grateful. But I wanted us to be real friends, really good friends that hung out together all the time. The only true friends I had were Luna and Ginny.

  We're also a trio, just like the famous Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. But basically no one knows us, I couldn't care less. I am an introvert, a very big one. I hide behind books, I let other people get the attention. Me, Ginny and Luna were so different yet we were friends, our friendship was one of the most precious things in my opinion.

The sun shone on my dark hair, making it seem like a lighter brown, my head was resting on a tree trunk while Ginny had her head in my lap, she was making a flower crown. Luna was reading the Quibbler as usual. Ginny turned to Luna and smiled at her.

"Anything new in the Quibbler?" Ginny asked. Luna shook her head, her eyes gazing at the Black Lake. Ginny sighed and then continued to make her flower crown.

"How's things with Harry?" I said teasingly. Ginny sat up in an instant, face burning red just like her hair.

"Nothing! Besides, I think he likes Cho," she said, sighing mournfully at the last part. I looked at her sympathetically, Ginny had told me and Luna about how she fancied Harry, but also adding in the fact that she thought Harry would never take her seriously.

"You know what," Luna spoke up suddenly, "maybe date some other boys, it may catch his attention." Me and Ginny looked at her incredulously, my eyes wide open.

"Geez Luna, since when did you give love advice?" I said teasingly. Luna had returned her attention to the Black Lake. But Ginny looked at me, a glint in her eyes, smiling from ear to ear.

"Luna is a genius! That's exactly what I'll do!" She beamed. I shrugged, picking up the twigs around me then snapping them into smaller pieces, each snap making a loud crack sound.

"Well..." I began, "first you need someone who fancies you." Suddenly Ginny turned to me, smirking slightly.

"Enough about me and Harry, what about you and Draco?" She said grinning like the cheshire cat. "Half the school knows he fancies you!" I wrinkled my nose, frowning and shaking my head.

"Ginny, you've mixed it all up, he doesn't like me! He walks past me with a sneer on his face and always spits out the word half-blood into my face as if it's a crime!"

"Yes, that's no doubt for your attention!"

"NO! YOU GOT IT WRONG!"

"YES! HE LIKES YOU!"

"NO!"

"YES!"

"NO!"

"YES!"

Soon people had begun to stare at us, so we quickly stopped. Ginny's hand expertly twisted the leaves and flowers then she placed it on my head and announced rather grandly,

"Queen Malfoy!"

I slapped her arm. She glared at me and quickly stood up, shaking her arm around and hissing in pain. I smiled innocently, acting like nothing happened, or at least acting like I didn't do anything.

  Soon, I drifted off into my own thoughts. I couldn't help but think 'would I like Draco Malfoy to like me?' And I knew the answer, yes I did want him to like me, I was sure Draco was more than what people thought he was, there had to be a better side of him, and he did look good. I liked the way his hair was blonde and his look menacing and calculating.

Third person P.O.V
  What Jade never saw was a certain blonde hair boy with a menacing and calculating look was watching her, admiring her, a small secret smile on his face and a weird feeling in his heart, something he hadn't felt before.

yes, you may be thinking,
Draco LOVES her and jade FANCIES him,
is something messed up?
nah it's not, it's just Jade finds love sort of... alien, as does Draco, it's only in third person do they say malfoy LOVES her, if it were in malfoy POV, he would probably say "filthy half-blood, don't like her" or "fancies" as well...
also don't blame me, i'm just gonna make malfoy hate half-bloods, i didn't make her muggle born for a reason you will find out sometime.
