Author's Pov

"Mom, I'm getting tired of these dosa! Please cook something else," On the very same day, Chitra whined, pushing the plate away.

"What do you want then?" Her mom questioned, touching her head as she felt sort of dizzy. She has blood pressure and nowadays, she often feels light-headed but she shrugs it off, hoping it would solve on its own just by the right balance in food and lifestyle.

"Pizza, burger," Chitra grinned while her mother just laughed. "That's not good for health sweetheart," she spoke honeyed, sitting beside Chitra and feeding her the dosa.

Chitra, even though wasn't a huge fan of dosa, couldn't deny it when her mother fed her the same.

Losing her father at an early stage got her more close to her mother. Chitra's love for her mom knows no boundaries. Her world is her mom, the moon and sun being her Harsh.

"Mom I love you," Chitra hugged her mom as she completed her food and washed her hands. Her mother smiled and patted her head, lovingly.

"Aunt!" Came Harsh, dressed up in a casual white loose t-shirt and black pants, but still managing to look attractive as ever. "Harsh, had breakfast?" He nodded his head.

"All done aunt! Now I just want your permission to hang out with my best friend, would you be kind enough to lend me the same?" He dramatically asked to Chitra's mom.

"Take good care of her," she smiled at Harsh before giving a soft nod towards Chitra.

"Come donkey!" Harsh dragged Chitra outside. The weather was still in the same condition. The dark clouds are still wafting through the sky without releasing the liquid it was holding in.

"Come on," He urged as he sat on his bike and started the engine. "Is this clothe enough to go out?" She asked as she hesitated.

She has worn a pinkish frock that hugged her upper body and loosened down her waist. Adding in the bangs and the adorable look on her face, Harsh melted in her beauty.

He still couldn't get the picture of her breast out of his head and this cute appearance of her was tempting him.

He was afraid of his own mind and its thoughts. He could never cheat. He wasn't that kind of a guy.

"You look like a certified donkey. Now hop on," Huffing at his comment, Chitra sat on the bike, sideways.

The streets were devoid of humans as people were expecting the rain to pour down. "The atmosphere is cool..." Chitra spoke softly, looking around the empty streets.

"By the way, where are you taking me to?" Harsh replied with a smirk. "Surprise" He winked through the mirror while Chitra just rolled her eyes.

"You surprise better surprise me otherwise I will kick your rear," Harsh chuckled at her words.

"What's funny in that?" Chitra slitted her eyes.

"You are indeed a donkey!" She glared at him as he laughed.

The two friends continued to bicker for a long time until the bike entered an area grazed with dense trees and painted with magical mist.

"It's beautiful," Chitra amused. Harsh was happy as he analyzed her face through the mirror.

"Did this surprise surprised you?" He quizzed, still smiling. "It did..." She said in a daze.

"Harsh," he hummed to her calling.

"I want to say something..." Chitra didn't know If what she was about to do is right or not but she desperately wanted to confess her feelings to Harsh.

"I'm all ears," Harsh answered, keenly listening to Chitra.

"Harsh...I...lo---" Harsh's phone rang, interrupting Chitra's confession.

Harsh grabbed his phone from his pant pocket and attended to the call. It was his dad.

"Dad?" He asked, dubiously as he latched the phone to his ear.

"Harsh, Chitra is with you, right?" He had informed his parents about taking Chitra with him out beforehand. "Yea.." he said, perplexed. His dad sounded off and nervous.

"Chitra's mom suffered a heart attack a while ago and before we could get her to the hospital...she was dead..." Harsh put a sudden break, startled by the news.

The person who was smiling at him, barely half an hour ago was no more? He couldn't believe his ears.

Chitra was tensed, as she saw Harsh's serious face in the mirror.

"Harsh?" She touched his shoulder.

"Come to the nearby hospital Harsh.." his dad split up the call.

Harsh couldn't imagine the grief Chitra would undergo If he revealed this news to her but there was no other option to choose.
