SFW Fluff and a little angst
I hate writing from 2nd person pov so you'll never see me do it
⨀ Air's POV ⨀
"FINE THEN, SO BE IT!" I yelled to her right before slamming the door. I had just gotten into a heated fight with Plant, over some dumb shit that didn't even include me. I usually wasn't one to yell, well at others.
I looked down at the doorknob and twisted the lock. I felt my eyes slowly start to fill up with tears, what if it really was my fault, and I was just to stupid to realize that I had hurt her, or someone. I immediately took off my goggles and broke down, crying my eyes out. My back rested against the door, my hands burying my face. I was trying not to be audible as I didn't want people to hear me and think I was sensitive or something. Sure, I made a couple of whimpers and shaky breaths here and there, but I tried making them silent which wasn't too successful.
Knock knock
"Air? You there? I heard everything and was making sure you were okay."
I went absolutely silent, was that Water? I wiped away my tears, and cleaned my glasses hastily. I opened the door with a flimsy smile on my face.
"Hi! Y-yeah no I'm fine, it was just a little disagreement." My under eye was a bit puffy and red from the crying, and my jaw felt sore, making it hard to talk.
"Air, I will not believe that for a second. Tell me what's wrong." My hands started to violently shake.
"Air? Air are you alright?? Why are your hands shaking so.. aggressively?"
I slowly backed away from the door, if I said ANYTHING I would burst into tears and embarrass myself in front of Water. By now, water was already in the room slowly closing the door behind him.
⨀ Water's POV ⨀
I felt legitimately concerned, I heard EVERYTHING, I witnessed everything too. I felt so bad, mostly for Air as he had been the one mostly getting yelled at. Suddenly, Air just ran up to me, hugged me, and started bawling his eyes out.
"Air.. I'm so sorry.." I mumbled hugging him back. He sniffed in response, while crying in my chest- directly outside of the cage my core was in.
"It's f-fine. It's really not your- *sniffle* fault.." Air managed to say.
"No, it's really not fine Air, you never usually cry like this!" I yelped. Air kept sobbing, but he seemed to have calmed down.
"Th-thank you Water. I really needed that-" he said as he looked up at me, letting go at the same time.
"No need, I'll always be here for you." I smiled, causing him to do so too.
"H-hey, uhm, can I just-" He grabbed the back of my head, pulling it down and kissed me on the lips. I was frozen in place. He quickly pulled away.
"What was that for?" I said slowly.
"A thank you gift!" He smiled brightly.
