Just another morning, I thought to myself as I was about to get out of bed. As I was pulling myself up, I turned to my right to turn off my alarm clock, and then sat on the edge of my bed. For some strange reason I was having an odd feeling about today. Something didn't feel right. I couldn't pinpoint what it was, but I could feel it in my gut. Whatever the feeling was, it was making me feel sick!
I got up slowly, making sure not to get dizzy. Happens quite often and my Dr says it's normal. Something about my equilibrium being off because of my sudden growth spurt and my body having to get used to it now. Starting my junior year of high school off at being 6'...and here I thought I was already tall before.
Just as I was picking out my outfit to meet my friends for breakfast at the mom and pop cafe down the road...my phone rang!
*UNKNOWN NUMBER*
"That's strange." I said in a whisper...not wanting to wake up anyone else in the house. No one I know would call from an unknown number. Everyone I know I've had numbers for them... for years. Yup, I've had the same friend group for the last several years. Quality over quantity. My favorite nerdy clique.
I didn't answer right away and the call went to voicemail. They called again and again. 12 MISSED CALLS! It's way too early for this.

Hesitating...I answered the phone when it rang again....

"Hello?" I said anxiously.

"Hello, little one. I'll see you soon." He said.

I dropped my phone and looked outside my window. Why did the gut feeling I had get worse when that person talked on the phone? I don't see anyone outside. I picked up my phone but the call had already been ended from their side.
Just then my phone rang again!
Mitri was calling and realization was...I was late to the breakfast date with my nerds. I rushed to get dressed, did my hair and makeup...simple but cute. Left a note on the table for my parents to see. I already gave them a heads up but I always gotta be on the safe side.

While I was almost to Mitri's car he yelled at me. Being me I was spacing out until I reached the car. He was holding out his hand towards me to stop. I was so confused.

"Hey doofus, you forgot your bag..again! Just like last year haha you never learn." Mitri said.

"Oops! I'll be right back!"
I ran back inside and up the stairs grabbed my backpack and a sweater just in case. I was turning to leave when I saw my window was open? I don't remember having that open this morning. I quickly closed it and went back outside to Mitri's car.

We were now headed to meet the gang for breakfast! My favorite day of the school year. Here's to Junior year!!
