Type: Right person, wrong time

Natasha initially met Steve when Nick Fury was beginning the Avengers project. A group of heroes he hand picked to be Earth's defenders against alien threats.
He was a super soldier from the 1940s who fought in world war II and spent 70 years frozen. Knowing him honestly felt too good for her. She admired everything he stood for and everything that he's done and how he's just good by nature, something she didn't feel like she was.
It did feel nice loving him for the short time she did, fighting alongside him and getting to call him a friend as well.
Especially during the blip.
Steve was really the only one checking on her in those five years while she struggled with her losses. She had lost her sister and her best friend was an a path of revenge, killing people he didn't think deserved to stay in these trying times and ontop of that, Natasha worked herself endlessly to find a solution and get everyone back. Steve kept her sane when nothing else did.

Songs that remind me of them:

1. Golden Hour by Jvke

"We were just two lovers; feet up on the dash, driving nowhere fast."

2. Bubblegum Bitch by MARINA

"Oh dear diary, I met a boy. He made my dull heart light up with joy."

3. It's nice to have a friend by Taylor Swift

"Something gave you the nerve to touch my hand. Its nice to have a friend."

4. Movies by Conan Gray

"They don't know, they can't know; that just on the drive here, I was looking through your texts. I was screaming my damn head off, 'how you still love your ex?'  "

Favorite quotes:

"Was that your first kiss since 1945?"

"If you're about to tell me to look on the bright side, uhm... I'm gonna throw a peanut butter sandwich at your head."

"Careful. Steve doesn't like that kind of language."
