Music taste

One of the things that REALLY pisses me off is people's opinions on music taste. Like when they think that because you like a certain artist or type of music you're a girly girl or you can't like someone else or another another genre simply because you like THAT ONE PERSON OR GENRE.

So I'm gonna give some stereotypes having to do with One Direction.

I LOVE One Direction.

So many people think that means that I'm automatically a girly girl. I AM NOT. I'M NORMALLY ABOUT AS FAR FROM A GIRLY GIRL AS YOU CAN GET. But that doesn't mean I don't have my moments. Sure I occasionally like certain dresses. But normally, I am someone who has burping or eating contests with their friends at lunch.

Many people also for SOME INCOMPREHENSIBLE REASON believe that if you like One Direction, it is ILLEGAL to like The Wanted. Yeah they're basically enemies. But guess what hun, THEY USED TO BE FRIENDS. AND THERE IS NO LAW SAYING I CAN'T LIKE BOTH BANDS.

And finally, genres. Someone who likes One Direction or any other pop artist is not restricted to pop music. I, for example, like basically any music except for country or rap. But even those genres, I do like a few artists. Put on a song by someone and there's a pretty good chance I like them. Panic! At The Disco, The Neighbourhood, Arctic Monkeys, Guns 'N Roses, Black Veil Brides, ANYTHING.

POINT OF THIS RANT:

DON'T STEREOTYPE. PEOPLE CAN LIKE ANY MUSIC THEY WANT WITHOUT FALLING INTO STEREOTYPES.
