Earlier that day...
The salty sea water was creating a trail of mist behind the speedboat, as it sped towards the herd of Tulkun. Andy was still hesitant about the idea of using the beasts as bait to lure out the Sully's. She didn't know why she had thought it was a good idea in the first place. She was on the speedboat with her dad and Scoresby, preparing to select a Tulkun they'd use as bait.
As the small drone sent out the small missile tracker, marking the Tulkun for death, Scoresby began barking orders to the workers on the speedboat, telling them to load up the missiles and harpoons.
"Wait, harpoons? We're killing them?" Andy asked, slightly shocked, trying to yell above the roar of the speedboat against the waves.
"Of course, they're the only source of amrita, y'know the thing that stops human ageing." He responded as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
"No, I only said use them as bait, there was no talk about killing." She snapped, "Turn the boat around, we are not doing this."
"Shut your mouth girly, just 'cause your dads the big boss ain't mean anything." The man taunted, causing Andromeda to give him the dirtiest look ever.
The girl scoffed and turned around. No one had spoken to her like that before, so she didn't know how to react. She marched up to one a man who was in charge of the harpoons and waited for the right moment, before she pushed him. This action caused him to jerk to the side and miss the Tulkun entirely. The move from the girl caused everyone on the speedboat to look at her, including her dad. Flipping everyone off she went to the back of the boat, hoping everyone would leave her alone. It was hard to find any empty space because there were equipment and people everywhere. She didn't understand where this protectiveness suddenly came from. She's never cared for any animals, hell, if one was killed in front of her, she wouldn't bat an eyelash. But now... She felt like she owed the Tulkun something... Perhaps an apology, not only to them but to all creatures of Pandora. Especially the Na'vi.
The poachers seemed too determined to kill the Tulkun, so Andy's actions alone wouldn't be enough to stop them. Fortunately, someone else was helping her. She noticed a speedboat lose control and crash into another. Looking closer, she saw a long arrow stick out of the driver's chest, the arrow of a Na'vi. She didn't know whether to be terrified or excited. Could one of those arrows eventually end up in her? Almost instantly chaos erupted, soldiers began shooting at something in the air whizzing past, the Tulkun where rocking the boats and something kept shooting arrows. Andy decided this would be the perfect moment to disable the tracker on the Tulkun. While her dad, Scoresby and the others were distracted with the Na'vi archer, she snuck into the captain's quarters and, taking out a coin-sized electric chip from her pocket, she placed it on the control panel, causing all the technology to go haywire. Looking at the tracked Tulkun in the distance, she saw the red light on the tracker turn off, meaning she succeeded. For now.
Looking around to find the archer, Andy saw the figure jump off the weird flying fish right into the water 600 feet in front of them. Before she could do anything, her dad marched into the captain's quarters and shoved her away from the control panel. Unfortunately, it seemed that the steering wheel was working, so her dad turned the boat in the basic direction the archer was last seen in.
"She went that way." Called out Andy, pointing in the completely wrong direction, hoping he would believe her. Her dad grunted in disapproval, but turned his steering wheel to where Andy was pointing at. Hopefully, that would buy the archer some time to escape.
