Chapter 19

3 Days later:

Natasha's POV:

The mission has been going successfully so far, we get to go home early. We have taken every single ounce of data that HYDRA have been storing. Fury says we can all go home tomorrow, I can't wait to see my girls. I've been kind of worried about Y/N though, this is all about her after all.

"Maximoff, there's agents on your right!" Tony says over comms to alert the witch.

Wanda forms red sparks from her hands and shoots them at the HYDRA agents causing them to be blasted through the walls, fortunately killing them. She slows down a little, clearly tired. She stops and stands still and just drops to her knees.

"Hey hey hey" I say softly as I crouch down next to her. I cup her face with my hands, "I know you're tired right now and that's okay. I'll be right here with you okay? We're going home tomorrow, you've done so well, honey." I add, tears start to form in her eyes and I pull her closer.

Luckily, while me and Wanda were having a moment, Clint informed us that the rest of the agents have been dealt with so we can make our way back to the huge jet that we came in. We get in there to sleep as everyone is too tired to fly, that's why we're going home tomorrow cause its really late right now. We will be flying back tomorrow morning.

Now that the mission is over, I get to check my phone.

Message from Pepper:

P- Hi Natasha, I know that you're all busy but I just had to tell you that Y/N hasn't left the room she's staying in since you left. She hasn't come out to eat anything at all.

Oh my poor girl. I knew something like this would happen, now I definitely need to make sure I get back home. It's currently 1:30am. I don't care how tired I am, I waste no time getting into the front of the jet to take off.

"Nat? What are you doing?" Wanda asked me as she clips herself into the seat next to me.

I smile at her calling me Nat. "Y/N needs us home Wands." I say, showing her the message that i received from Pepper.

"Oh, yeah lets get home. I'll stay up with you seeing as its a long journey!" She says back, giving me a soft smile.

Once we get back to the compound where all our cars still are, I get into my car and drive to Tony's safe house and of course, Wanda came with me.

We got to where Y/N is and Pepper let us straight in and leaded us to where Y/N was staying. I knocked on the door. No answer.

"Y/N, we're home sweetheart." I say softly. The door swings open and she jumps in my arms. Neither of us say a word, I just hold her close to me and she starts to cry. She looks like she hasn't slept at all since we left, she's lost weight too. I try not to worry though, i'll make her something eat when we're home.

"Oh malyshka, lets get you home." I say, Wanda picks Bella up and we take both the girls to my car. Wanda clips Bella into her car seat while I help Y/N into the seat next to Bell.

Wanda climbs in next to Y/N and Y/N rests her head on her shoulder. They all fall asleep in the back of my car as I drive us all back to the compound where I assume the rest of the Avengers will be fast asleep.

We get to the compound and I turn round in my seat to lightly shake the girls sat behind me to wake them up.

"We're home, girls." I say, they all open their eyes and get out of the car. We walk into the compound and it's silent, like you could drop a pin and you'd still be able to hear it hit the floor. It's nice. I look down to see Bella yawning and rubbing her eyes with her tiny fists so I scoop her up and carry her upstairs to her bed. Wanda and Y/N follow me up the stairs, Wanda kisses Y/N's head then goes into her room. Y/N stands at Bella's door waiting for me to come out.

I walk out of Bella's room towards Y/N, she hasn't spoke at all since I picked her up. I assume she actually hasn't spoke since I left for the mission by the sounds of what Pepper was telling me. I hold her hand in mine and I walk her downstairs to the kitchen. I make her a sandwich, just something small so I can make sure she's eaten before she goes to bed. I also made myself a sandwich so she didn't feel uncomfortable eating alone.

After we had eaten we go back upstairs to the corridor where our bedrooms are, still not speaking a single word until Y/N breaks the silence as we each stand at the doors of our own rooms.

"Mama? Can I stay with you." She asks as she plays with the strings of my hoodie that she's wearing while looking down at the floor, not making an effort to look at me, I don't mind it though.

"Yes of course you can my love." I place my hand on her back and guide her into my room. I give her a pair of my shorts and a big t-shirt to sleep in and I help her get changed into them as she's too tired to do it herself.

I climb into my bed and open my arms for her so she crawls onto my bed and lays herself between my arms. I hold her and stroke her hair until she finally falls asleep. I kiss her head and say "good night my sweet girl."
