3rd Person's POV
Cross paced back and forth, it's been a while since Nightmare left the castle. He said he will only be out for a moment, doing some personal business, not even bringing his personal Royal guard with him. Which made Cross worry, even though he knew that Nightmare is way beyond his league, but even so the guy needs help every now and then.
"Yo Cross" The skeleton looked towards the sound. "What Killer?" He asked the guy named Killer. Killer tilted his head "What the hell are you doing?" He asked back. "Waiting" Cross replied short, he's not in the mood to talk to anyone right now. "Who? Nightmare?" "Yeah"
Killer looks at Cross in disbelief, as if a he's watching a mouse waiting for the cat. Or the octopus to be specific. But that doesn't make any sense so let's see Nightmare as the cat. Killer's stare then turned into a grin, a mischievous grin. Cross doesn't like that look of Killer, it's a sign of trouble, and he's not in the mood to handle it.
"Ooh~ are you worried about your crush~?" Killer asked in a teasing tone, which resulted a blushing red Cross. "I-i DO NOT have a crush on my boss!" Cross denied, but it's obviously the opposite from his red tomato face. "My boss? You mean OURS" Killer leaned on the flustered guard's shoulder. Cross looked away, getting more and more flustered.
//BAAMMM//
A loud thunder can be heard outside. It had started raining, a thunderstorm is coming. Cross looked outside the window, his red blush fades away as he started to get concerned again. "I'm gonna catch up to him" Cross said sternly, he is now sure of his decision. He walked away, leaving Killer, who was leaning on his shoulder to fell down and kissed the ground.
"WHAT THE HELL CROSS?!" Killer was suprised and annoyed when Cross made that decision all of a sudden. Cross didn't care, he was worried about his boss, and him not returning until a thunderstorm arrived, concerns him more. He grabbed his puffy white coat and puts it on as he walks to the front door. "You're really going to go out there??? You're INSANE!" Killer shouted at Cross as he grabbed the guard's hand, trying to prevent him from going outside. But it was no use, Cross shoved away Killer's hand and went outside.
Killer sighed "The boss won't be too happy about this" He muttered to himself. He actually knew what Nightmare was doing and why he hasn't returned, he was given a special task from the King of Negativity himself.
Don't let anyone follow me
And it for sure was meant for Cross, since nobody else wouldn't even dare to disobey him, except for his loyal trusty guard. "He left...didn't he?" Suddenly a familiar voice appeared behind Killer's back. Killer glanced behind him, it was Dust and Horror, who was probably watching him and Cross the whole time.
Killer sighed "I'm so in trouble" He said, accepting his faith. Horror gave a gentle headpat on Killer's head, while Dust was having the time of his life laughing like the maniac he is. "I won..." Dust said after a nice long laugh, Killer pouted as he searched his pocket and gave 10 bucks to Dust. "I hate you" Killer said to the hooded guy, Dust gave a grin in return, putting the 10 bucks in his pocket.
Meanwhile with Cross....
Cross walked and walked and walked, passing through each tree and bushes that was on his path as he continues to follow the path of the dark forest while also fighting rain at the same time. You may be wondering how he's going to find Nightmare, but it's quite simple. Everywhere Nightmare goes leaves traces of 'Negativity', the trees and bushes usually turn dark grey when he passes by. Cross learns this during his early years as Nightmare's guard.
