Spy school halls/rooms

Ben's POV:

Me and Mike had plans to do some of our homework for bomb delusion together, and this time, the professor made him promise to actually defuse it, instead of letting it go off, because that was dumb. I was in my room, about to go to his, and on the way out, I threw a paper ball towards my trash can. It missed by a foot and a half. I groaned and left the room, walking by the artillery range on the way to his dorm, I realized Erica wasn't there, which was weird because she was always there at that time of day. I guess she must've had homework, I shrugged and continued walking. Once I got to Mike's door, I knocked on it like any regular person would, there was no answer, which was weird, because Mike was quite social and we had plans to meet in his room at  this exact time. I knocked again, more loudly this time, but still no response. I was a little worried, so I started picking the lock to his door, I was a noob when it came to this sort of thing, and it took me three minutes to do. Once the door was open, I looked into his room, and he wasn't there, but there were signs of a struggle. There was a new dent in the wall, and there was a small streak of blood from the center of the room to the window, oh no.

I ran to Zoe's room next, which was closest to Mike's, and she wasn't there either, instead, the sheets of her bed were all undone. I called Catherine, then Cyrus, then Alexander, but none of them even picked up their phones. Which for Cyrus, was normal, but not for Catherine or Alexander. Finally, I raced towards Erica's room, I opened it, prepared to see her sitting there, doing homework, but instead found the worst looking room yet. The door had a scratch on it, things were lying around haphazardly, and the bed was practically cleaved in half, like someone had bashed it with a club. No, not Erica was my only thought. I searched the desk for anything unusual like blood or clues, but found nothing, I began sniffling, Erica was always there to protect me and help me, what was I going to do without her? At the very edge of the desk, though, I saw a tiny little picture of... me! I was laughing at the camera, looking very happy. Wait a minute, I thought, wasn't that Zoe's picture? I shrugged it off, but as I was leaving the room, there was a voice. It said

"Hello, Benjamin, we've been expecting you." The TV showed an elderly man in his eighties, he looked kind of like el Diablo, but had a much more sinister aura. He then turned the camera around and it showed Erica, Mike, Zoe, Cyrus, Catherine and Alexander, they were all tied up in chairs and all looked slightly dazed, but mostly worried and surprised. They were gagged by rags on their mouths and zip ties were on their wrists and ankles. He then said "I run an illegal private game show, in which you have to compete with another person for either your money or your friends. I have your friends, and the only way to get them back is to go to (censored address) and get in the gray van at 1:00 am sharp." My friends were all vigorously shaking their heads, but knew I had to do this, I owed them from all of the times they had saved my life, and so I said to him,

"I'm in."

Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I think it's starting to get more exciting.
